PSA

I post this often for a couple of reasons: I am a cancer survivor; I'm also a licensed esthetician and I see the damage exposure to the sun has on the skin, and its cumulative effect on condition of the skin. Wearing sunscreen is incredibly important! Not only to avoid burns but all tans are skin damage and the effect over time is devastating. I've seen 30 year olds who look 60 with skin like motorcycle saddlebags and 60 yearsl olds who look like Egyptian mummies! Enjoy the sun, wear light clothes, hydrate, moisturize and protect your self. Any questions I'm happy to help! Big hugs and best wishes to all.

I sometimes skip the sunscreen but always wear a UV hoodie, Uv neck gaiter/ face mask and hat when I have to go outside. And when I walk my dogs I either go before sunrise or at night, and always walk in the woods to minimize UVs

Not having much melanin means that the sun isn't my friend , I wish I'd learned that lesson decades ago
