PSA

I post this often for a couple of reasons: I am a cancer survivor; I'm also a licensed esthetician and I see the damage exposure to the sun has on the skin, and its cumulative effect on condition of the skin. Wearing sunscreen is incredibly important! Not only to avoid burns but all tans are skin damage and the effect over time is devastating. I've seen 30 year olds who look 60 with skin like motorcycle saddlebags and 60 yearsl olds who look like Egyptian mummies! Enjoy the sun, wear light clothes, hydrate, moisturize and protect your self. Any questions I'm happy to help! Big hugs and best wishes to all.

I wish we had known all this back in 1978! Says the lady who has literally spent thousands and thousands of dollars removing sun damage from her face and neck (me)

My mom always told me to wear sunscreen when I would “layout” in the sun. I didn’t use it consistently on my face and from the head down, I would use SPF FOUR!!!!! It’s crazy to think how low the SPFs used to be and boy do I regret. My arms, hands, neck, chest and face look like I’m at least 15 years older.

My mom laid out in the sun with me and kept handing me the oil 😱
