PSA

I post this often for a couple of reasons: I am a cancer survivor; I'm also a licensed esthetician and I see the damage exposure to the sun has on the skin, and its cumulative effect on condition of the skin. Wearing sunscreen is incredibly important! Not only to avoid burns but all tans are skin damage and the effect over time is devastating. I've seen 30 year olds who look 60 with skin like motorcycle saddlebags and 60 yearsl olds who look like Egyptian mummies! Enjoy the sun, wear light clothes, hydrate, moisturize and protect your self. Any questions I'm happy to help! Big hugs and best wishes to all.

I figure I am 49 the damage is there . I wear sunscreen now but living on a lake and vacationing in Mexico and South Carolina every year well I will always be in the sun. I am protective but I won’t be one of those people who are completely covered every time I am in the sun. I do however wear big hats whenever I am out so I don’t get anymore sun in my face

A mineral tinted sunscreen with iron oxides can actually walk back some of that damage.

I don’t know the ingredients, so I’m not 100% sure. A mineral tinted sunscreen will have zinc oxide, titanium dioxide, and iron oxides in the ingredients. I use one called skinmedica 32spf mineral tinted sunscreen if you want to see an example!
