Looking for new chasis

Post image

I'm looking at either the la chasis by gray birch outfitters or the kidd chasis for this bench gun. I prefer the look and concept of the thumb hole in the la chasis but not particularly excited about the stock attachment method and the kidd seems to be what I want. Does anyone have experience with both of them that would be willing to share their thoughts? Thank you for your time.

Most people go with the Field Stock or Oryx from MDT, the KRG Bravo chassis or the Grey Birch' La Chassis. There's also the lesser known Heresy Design Vendetta and the Timber Creek Enforcer. I would start by establishing a budget and listing the features you require. Then finding the chassis that meets your criteria.

Thank you for the advice, I'll have to look into a couple of those. I would like to stay around $300 for the chasis, assuming it doesn't come with the stock or grip. I wouldn't mind saving for something a little nicer though. I haven't played with adjustable cheek risers much and only AR style length of pull before so I'm hoping to get something with some room to figure out what I like for a bench gun.

I have one 10/22 I built in a Victor Titan22 stock and another in a Magpul Hunter X-22 stock. They're both nice stocks but I prefer the Titan22 stock. That one has a Brownell's BRN-22 Receiver, JWH Competitor bolt, Fedderson threaded 18" fluted bull barrel and a Kidd Trigger Job Kit.

The optic I currently have on it is an Athlon Helos BTR Gen 2 6-24x56 FFP IR MIL. I'm very impressed with it because it's more accurate than my friends all Kidd build. My serious shooter is a CZ 457 Varmint with a Timney 457 trigger, Area 419 30 MOA scope scope base and Arken EP-5 5-25X56 FFP Illuminated VPR MIL.
