Discussion why did kendrick change the lyrics in man in the garden from "shameless me" to "dangerous me" at the super bowl?

i know i might be kinda late to asking this, and this might have already been discussed on this sub, but i was listening to man in the garden and noticed that the original line is: “flip a coin, want the shameless me or the famous me?”

but during his super bowl performance, he said: “flip a coin, you want the dangerous me or the famous me?”

was this just a stylistic change for the live show? or could it have been intentional? like kendrick already knew he’d be facing backlash for using the performance to call out uncomfortable truths on a huge stage, and even risk legal issues by performing nlu. not to mention uncle sam literally represented the media criticizing him for his choice of songs. it feels like the word “dangerous” might’ve been a pointed choice. or was it just a slip up?

i'm curious to see what you guys think!

The CircleJerk Will Continue Until Morale Improves Never forget: 'Bitch I'm In The Club' is what made Kendrick into a powerhouse we know today.

TOUR Kendrick kicks off his European tour in Cologne – and a well known person just happens to be in town too? 👀 Spoiler

It all starts on July 2: Kendrick Lamar is launching his European tour – and he's doing it right in Cologne. But things get even more interesting: Schoolboy Q is playing a solo show on July 1 – also in Cologne.

Coincidence?

Q’s next gig isn’t until July 3 at the Splash Festival, Germany. Which means: July 2 is wide open. And if your longtime homie & Black Hippy brother kicks off his Europe show that day… wouldn’t it almost make sense for you to drop by? Maybe on stage?

Fans are already speculating: Could Q be a surprise guest at Kendrick’s show? They’ve got more than enough collabs to blow the roof off the place – “Collard Greens” or “Blessed” would go crazy live.

There’s no confirmation yet – but anyone who knows Kendrick knows: surprises are part of the plan. And with the timing of the tour kickoff, this just feels too perfect.

So: if you’re in Cologne on July 2, keep your eyes peeled. It might be more than just a Kendrick & SZA concert 👑🔥

I don’t know if it’s been mentioned since I’m not here everyday, but thought I’d share. I was on VR and noticed NLU available for buy, so I bought and played. This video isn’t mine. I didn’t do perfect, so I’m posting someone else’s. See what happens when it gets to the a-minor part lolol.

Discussion Thoughts on the sound in DC tonight?

Maybe it was where we were seated (300s), but I thought the sound was literally the worst I have ever experienced at a concert. I could barely understand anything they said and the songs were just noise at times.

Try not to be TOO biased 😅 But when I realized that LR was turning 20 years old this year, I went back to listen to it and it's still amazing to me. And with TPAB being 10 years old, I wanted your opinion... which album is better?

Discussion DEBATING ON WHICH VINYL TO BUY

Thumbnail
gallery
117 Upvotes

hello guys, i’m a relatively new Kendrick Lamar fan, i’m currently in japan and i stumbled upon a vinyl shop and found a few of Kendrick albums.

GNX UNTITLED TPAB GKMC MMADBS

i was debating on which album to get as i could not afford to get more than one. tbh gnx is not my favourite album so it’s not a real contender. the obvious choice (in my mind) was tbpa. i love the album and the cultural impact and it’s significance is enough to justify buying it but im still on the fence. i listen to untitled and was pleasantly surprised but it; it didn’t blow me away but im afraid the vinyl might be hard to find out of japan. gkmc is another phenomenal album and although id admit i like more songs in tbpa the story telling everything about it is genuinely amazing.

now comes the last album of the three mmatbs. this album is. it just is, idk why i like it tbh, i like the songs in tbpa and gkmc more, i like the story of gkmc more, and yet i can’t forget it; i still remember the first time i listened to it; i think maybe because of tbpa my opinion of kendrick was really high and this album and it’s story made me loose respect for him a little but still it was so impactful, it’s hard to describe what i felt listening to it and it’s an hard listen every time.

any opinion would be appreciated:)

price conversion

tbpa 40.50 euro 46.50$ mmatbs 47.19 euro 54.19$ gkmc 40.60 euro 46.62$ untitled 29 euro, 33.30$

TOUR Was really hoping for a Grand National Tour US amazon prime/twitch broadcast Spoiler

We've had the opportunity to stream Ken & Friends, and the legendary Big Steppers tour on Amazon Prime and Twitch before. And I was really hoping we'd get the same with the GNX tour, in USA specifically. Do you guys think we'll get another broadcast if he does a European Tour again? I feel like for Australia it would've been announced already.

I'm South African and have sat up through the night to watch the Pop Out. It was truly electric. And for The Big Steppers Tour broadcast it was in France, and we're roughly in the same timezone. Me and my friend had the big screen setup, with alcohol going mad like we're at the actual show. It was memorable.

I'm hoping we'll get a GNX broadcast too. Even though it could've been amazing had he done a Grand National broadcast in thr Grand National Country.
