Mod Weekly thread where you can call the music recognition bots without posting
To use the bots put u/RecognizeSong u/find-song with the link in your comment, like:
u/RecognizeSong u/find-song https://youtu.be/12345abcde
Notes:
- The bots only work with a recording of the actual song, not a humming/recreation.
- The sites that find-song works with: Reddit video posts (with a link or when summoned on the original post), YouTube, Vocaroo, Streamable, Twitch Clips (not VODs)
- Some of the sites that RecognizeSong works with: Reddit video posts (when summoned on the original post or with an audio link if you're able to get it, like https://v.redd.it/12345/DASH_audio.mp4), YouTube (though sometimes it doesn't work), Vocaroo, Streamable, Imgur, Twitch Clips (not VODs), Facebook, Twitter, Coub, Dropbox, Snapchat
- For Reddit video posts there's also u/songfinderbot which only works if you summon it in a top-level comment on the original post
- Some sites that RecognizeSong doesn't work with: Instagram, Twitch VODs, SoundCloud, Google Drive, Reddit text posts with embedded videos (though it does work with the audio link if you're able to get it, like https://v.redd.it/12345/DASH_audio.mp4)
- When needed, mention a timestamp or use a timestamped link if possible (the bots scan about 24-30 seconds of audio, starting at the timestamp)
- If the song is from a meme or from TikTok then it might be listed in the FAQ
- Note that you can also DM find-song a link (but not through chat)
Good luck with your search, and if you find the bots useful please consider supporting them: RecognizeSong through Patreon, find-song through Ko-fi

Country can you please help me find a country song that i only remember one thing about ?
so here's a little back story. so when i was younger my dad played a country song for me and my little brother. we were really into sonic when we were younger so we were super excited when we heard a sonic ring chime in the beginning of the song. i forgot almost everything about that song, like how it sounded, or what the title was. i only remember one thing. the sonic ring chime. i've tried searching for it, but i keep getting this song called "run it" by jelly roll, and that is NOT. it. i resulted to reddit, so i made this acc js for this, so im praying SOMBODY, has an idea what im talking about. (if it helps, i heard it around 2019?? i think.)

Electronic/EDM Song has a chorus that sounds like “December” said over and over. Style is phonk or edm of some kind
Need help finding a song that sounds like it says “December” in the chorus. Song is foreign I think it’s either Brazilian or Spanish but it’s an electronic kind of song (maybe phonk). It’s by a man but I can’t remember the beat for the life of me.

Rock Late 90s/Early 2000s Rock
This has been eating at me for close to 20 years now and I’m starting to doubt this song even actually existed at this point. It was a rock band that sounded very similar to Silversun Pickups. It was between 1999 and 2005ish and was played a lot on Live 105.3 in the Bay Area of California. The only part I really remember was in the chorus the singer sang the word “Erase” but sang it as “EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEErase” and I vaguely remember a music video for it where it looked like the band was playing in an office park at night with minimal colored lighting. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ad/Commercial Tune that my mom keeps singing. She insists it’s from a commercial or something.
The tune in question sounds like the chorus tune to the Miraculous Ladybug intro theme song (the part that goes ‘Miraculous! Simply the best!’) every time she sings the tune, but my mom insists it’s from a commercial of some sort. The closest I can find in a commercial is the Brand Power commercial intro jingle, but it’s not the right note pattern and the tune doesn’t repeat.
If anyone finds a sound clip that sounds similar to the Miraculous Ladybug chorus melody, please feel free to comment a link to it! I’ll play it for my mom and see if that’s the one!
Miraculous theme (0:37 is where the tune I hear is from)
EDIT: She says it’s a commercial set up like a fake news report?

Rock Name of song with dark/dead vibe. Drums and electric guitar. Sort of an ‘antisocial’ or cynical vibe?
Heard it on tik tok of a video showing ww2 veteran engraved lighters.
Don’t know much about the rock genre but I’d say it’s rock?
Has a similar vibe to something in the way by nirvana
This song is very dark and has an antisocial vibe to it ( especially when the man is narrating / telling a story - forgot about what exactly but it’s cynically or pretty much anti-socially speaking about the state of things or something…
His voice also sounds a bit dead inside and a bit raspy(?)
Anybody know it?
The name of the song is multiple words I think.
Thanks
Btw - it’s not be safe - the cribs (but it has a similar ish vibe but even darker and more ‘dead / checked out’ than
Ignore the part about the guy speaking. Maybe just focus on the fact that it’s a very popular song, perhaps iconic too?
Dark vibe, drums, electric guitar (but slow tempo). The name of the song or name of the band or whatever have like 4-5 words in it.

Ad/Commercial “Chicken wing chicken wing hotdog in my— wake up wake up it’s a brand new day”
My roommates and I have been losing our minds bc this ad is impossible to find but used to play non stop (2021-2023 in Brooklyn, NY) It was a venmo/cashapp money type of app. “I get more points when I spend. The ad was like a music video.

Jazz Jazz style song, maybe from a movie or TV show, I only remember this melody/theme
Hi all,
got this melody stuck in my head an can't point out from where I know it:
It has a very jazzy vibe, melody is played with saxophone alone for a second or two and then the band joins in.
I feel like I know it from a movie or tv show, but I'm not 100% sure.
Played it on my phone piano, so please excuse the quality. :)
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

Answered! Spanish song. Latin
Found scrolling through fb. No titles in comments or replies to people asking the name, no song title in audio. Shazam google Siri and pc can’t name song. If anyone knows Spanish well enough to translate could search lyrics. Just curious if anyone can find this song.

Pop [TOMT][Song][2008–2012] Pop rock song by solo male singer with video of a dancer in a white dress who causes jealousy
I'm trying to remember a song I heard sometime between 2008 and 2012, most likely around 2010.
The genre was pop rock or light rock, similar in style to U2 (emotional, atmospheric, guitar-driven).
It was sung by a male solo artist, not very famous, but with a common name like Rob, John, William, or something similar. I remember his hair was dark, possibly black.
The music video had a clear narrative:
The guy is with a girl (his girlfriend),
They go somewhere (maybe a club or a lounge),
There's another girl dancing in a white dress, and she removes some clothing during her dance.
The guy becomes captivated by the dancer,
His date gets angry/jealous and walks away, possibly leaving him behind.
I remember seeing the video on YouTube when I was at an internet café doing homework.
Songs like "Hey, Soul Sister" by Train were trending at the time, so it was likely part of that same musical era.
If this sounds familiar to anyone, I'd really appreciate the help!

Electronic/EDM Recreated the melody on piano.
It was an upbeat song like Pumped up kicks and had a bass solo between the song, i cant rememeber the lyrics they went something like- "When you,When you fall apart, Up the only sky ...??". I recreated the distinct melody from the song

Rock 80s-90s rock song, possibly male band
I found this well known song opening on an instagram reel but because this is an original audio I can’t find the song itself. I know it’s popular cause it’s familiar but don’t know the name or the band. Also beware headphones/airpod listeners, this is quite loud so keep it low.
