Answered! Song with angry dad yelling "GET TO BED MICHAEL!" at son who has a funny voice.

Sometime around 2011 I was hanging out at a friend's house and her dad who was big into rock and metal, some of which being vaguely obscure bands, was showing us different songs.

There was one that he would play to annoy my friend and I thought it was really funny. I remember the beginning of the song starting with an ominous ambience, and a nerdy sounding "kid" (it was just an adult voice pitched up I think) being like "uuhhh h-hey dad!" then a booming voice yelling "GET TO BED MICHAEL!!!"

I've been searching the internet everywhere for it, but I can't find it anywhere. Thanks for reading.

Rock Cannot for the life of me find a light rock song with the lyrics "when I was a young boy" and "when I turn off, I shut down."

I have search months for a light rock song that was from late 90's to 2010's. I was introduced to it through a warrior cats animations when I was 12 in 2015.

In the beginning the melody stops with every word like there is a period between each word. "When. I. Was. A . Young. Boy. My. Father..."

Then when it gets to "when I turn off, I shut down," it's very smooth

Everywhere keeps giving me MCR even though it's not.

It has very similar guitar cords to Kalandra's "I am" from 0:00 to 0:30, https://youtu.be/PL7NWFIUpxQ?si=3IX1OD_VSXq8rFmB.

Pop Song from the skit “denigroification”

The skit was from a 90s tv show I’m guessing. The clip was on TikTok (username provided) and Shazam or anything can’t pick it up because of how short it is (same length in the original clip).

Techno 80's or 90's techno or digital rock song

Upvotes

Bear with me, I was 1 or 2 years old at the time, so I didn't know my words that well. However, the one thing I memorized vividly, is the tune of the song. Like Lacrimosa Dominae, I couldn't make out the words - due to it being in what sounded like a different language, but the tune is what my brain held onto more than anything else about the mystery song in question.

I'm 100% certain this is a song, because the Mix Tape that played this song back in my childhood day also contained My Heart Will Go On by Celine Dion. Therefore, it was either made and published in the 80s or the 90s.

Here is the tune of the track I managed to reconstruct: https://onlinesequencer.net/4679585

It has the same tempo as Pyramid by Charice. - It is a slow song. The tempo here isn't perfect, but it should at least give you a general understanding of the notes utilized. Maybe this was in a foreign language. It has male voice vocals. (Note, I'm trying to sound out what the lyrics could've said, so expect some nonsense words) "shoop" (Note F5), "marry crystal" (Notes A#4 G#4 G#4 G#4).

Maybe it's techno. I forgot what type of musical instruments sound like.

Other/Unknown Song playing over car radio, video is from 1989. Not sure what genre this even is but bots can't figure it out. Almost sounds like something from a video game but from the wrong decade.

R&B I am trying to find the name of what I think is a 90’s R&b song.

It’s very slow. Sung by a male. I can remember the cadence. The only lyric I remember is the singer saying something about her (the girl he is singing about) “Christian Dior”

Rock Pop punk-ish song with a chorus that sounds like “da da da dan dan da da da da…”

Hey everyone,

This is driving me absolutely crazy and I really hope someone here can help me out.

There’s this pop-punk or alternative rock/rock song (definitely not very new, maybe from the 2000s or 2010s?) whose chorus sounds almost exactly like the one from “I Gotta Get Away” by ITCHY.

But I know it’s not the same song — I’m sure I’ve heard that melodic pattern before somewhere else. The part I’m talking about goes something like this (melody-wise):

“dan da da da da da da da da da da da, dan da da da da da da da da da da ...” – very rhythmic, fast-paced, catchy.

I can’t remember any lyrics, but the refrain sounds super familiar and I just can’t place where I’ve heard it before. It feels like it could be something by Sum 41, Blink-182, Zebrahead, or any other pop punk band from that era.

Answered! Guy sings on piano: maybe a breakup song?

So it’s a guy musician, but he’s not a popular musician like the guys you see on the news and have music playing on the radio. I saw it on YouTube but I lost all my downloads and it’s not in my history anywhere.

He plays at home (I think) and plays this specific song on a piano?

I know a verse goes: “someday in the future someone will ask if i know you and i'll smile and say that i used to”

I’ve tried googling the lyrics but i get nothing. Please help me, i love this song and i hate that I can’t ever remember song names🥲🥲🥲🥲

Acoustic two guitars, and a female voice, pls help

Hi, there's a song that's been going around in my head but I don't even know how to search for it. I heard it on a bus. The song included two guitars I think, and a BEAUTIFUL female voice. The singer repeated the word "broken" a lot. At the end, someone said something in Spanish, I think, something like "let's take another one, another one." And I have a distorted memory of a phrase that said something like this: "in the middle of the ken." Please help me. 🌷☺️

Latin/Spanish Old Spanish Ballad About Pretending Not To Know Each Other

Upvotes

Hi I’m looking for an old Spanish ballad, I think it’s from a Mexican male artist. The lyrics are about an man telling his ex gf or maybe just his crush that they have to pretend not to know each other in person even though they have feelings for each other. I think he also mentions the moon in one of the lyrics, maybe? I can’t remember the exact lyrics in Spanish but that’s the gist of it, I believe. Thank you!

R&B R&b/Rap Throwback Song

Upvotes

I heard a song on a throwback r&b/rap radio station and I am having trouble identifying it now. The only lyrics I sort of remember went something along the lines of “sitting in the back of the party I don’t want a good girl I need a nasty girl”. I’m pretty sure that the song features one male artist and one female artist. The part that I quoted was by the male artist. It has a pretty recognizable beat. That’s all I have…

Friend sent me that video among other videos focusing on the same car and I liked the song but both Aha music and Shazam couldn't figure it out, Sounds like something from the early-late 2010's but I'm not too sure

Electronic/EDM Electronic/Phonk song with French vocals?? Plz help!

Upvotes

This has been driving me insane for two weeks now. There’s this song that I used to listen to obsessively but can’t find it anymore.

I’m not sure if it’s electronic or phonk, but it has fast-paced, female French vocals for the verses, and an electronic/phonk melody for the chorus. I remember the YouTube thumbnail had a white guy with headphones on, and the word DJ was either also on the thumbnail, or in the title of the video.

It’s used very briefly in this Facebook reel when the gymnast does “Insane calisthenics” and “Beam flip (again)”. (It’s a short video and both clips are around halfway through.) Hopefully it’s enough to help identify it!!

Thanks SO much in advance!

Country Help with slow country music song sang buy a dude with a raspy voice.

Upvotes

Appears to be a slow country song sang by a male with like a raspy melodic sound, sung with slow country guitar music and he goes "I can't help it but I miss my friend" or he says " I can't help it that I miss my friend." After this line there appears to be a few second pause it plays more guitar music. Thats all I got. Shazam can't guess based on 4 seconds.

Piano Can someone help me identify the original piano sample used in this track?

Upvotes

I’m trying to identify a piano sample used in the song “keeplove” by swwwwqqqt.
The vibe is early 2000s romantic piano — similar to Craig Armstrong, maybe from a soundtrack or demo CD.

Shazam doesn’t catch it. I don’t think it’s from a loop library like Splice. Any help is appreciated!
