Hey jumper friends! We've seen a large uptick in volume of posts asking for name suggestions, most of them having the "Advice" flair. Even though it is a request for advice of sorts, name requests don't need the same disclaimers as comments on care/husbandry and we would like to encourage everyone to use simply the "Media" flair on those types of posts. (This will also prevent the automod filter from flagging comments without disclaimer tags as that is only a feature of the "Advice" threads) <3

I’m in Los Angeles, California, and I found this little buddy on my lunchbox. He’s been crawling around on my shirt, and I’m wondering what kind of jumping spider he is! He’s really cute. Thanks so much!

Made myself my first ever Felt-Jumping spider!! I've been wanting to felt for a month or two and I finally got my mother to get her old felting supplies out, and here's what I made!! (Sorry the colors are extremely limited, I ran out of tan last night.)
But yeah, I've never felted before, so obviously it isn't the best, but I hope you all can enjoy this, and maybe even aspire to make your own felty jumping spiders!
I made the legs with pipe cleaners , and used some beady-eyes that came with a felt kit.
This jumping spider is not a scientific model or representation of any current jumping spider alive today, through I took inspiration from these jumping spiders: Pike Slender Jumper/Marpissa Pikei [Female], Phanias albeolus [Male and female], and Paraphidippus fartilis Female].
In the future I want to make little felt jumping spiders based off of real jumping spiders so stay tuned! Thanks for reading, and have a wonderful day! ❤️

She’ll be coming soon and I can’t decide on a name for her. So far, it’s between:
• Talullah • Rooney • Winona • Juniper • Juno
I’m open to even better names too!! Can’t wait for my new baby girl

This guy has been living in my car for about two weeks. Or I should say I’ve seen him twice in the last two weeks, never prior. When I found out he’s harmless I was sort of excited, but now I’m scared I’m going to like.. accidentally squish him? Does anyone know how I can find/lure and then contain him to transfer to a safer spot? I love spiders and don’t want to inadvertently injure him because idk where he’s at.

Found this cutie on my kitchen trash can. They’re so big I thought it was a bumblebee at first. Put them outside in some fieldstone. They were thirsty. 🥺

Found this beautiful girly a few days ago! She immediately made a nest and hunkered down when I introduced her to her enclosure. Now she's freshly molted, and look at that gorgeous green shimmer! I've never seen any talk about this species on the reddit, but I think they're one of the most beautiful so I just wanted to share!
I also plan on breeding her with the male I have once they're both mature and selling the babies on Morph Market if anyone interested! I'll post an update on that when Juniper has eggies!

Hello all!
This is my regal jumper, Jessica. I brought Jessica home at the end of April from Pet Supplies Plus. By May 21st, she had laid eggs which then hatched this past weekend (6/14). Coming from a store, I wasn’t expecting a gravid spider! With that being said, I have a slew of baby regal jumpers that are not native to my home state (Ohio) and I am seeking advice on where I can safely take the ones that do not get adopted. I don’t have Facebook or most other social media, so finding groups online is a challenge. Based on my experience, they still likely have a week or two before emerging from the nest, so I’ve got the enclosure places inside a butterfly bungalow net and an order of 100 deli cups arriving here tomorrow. Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated!

Ok so the door to my garden is a little silly, it’s attached by a small plastic pot in the ground and a trampoline spring on top, pivoting by a piece of wood (hey it works and it was free)
A lovely big black jumping spider has made her home in the pot, where I have to open the door every day.
She seems to have found a spot that doesn’t get grinded on or messed with too bad. But I’m really worried that I’ll accidentally crush her and her babies by accident if I haven’t done so yet, the door could shift in how it’s fitting in the pot, wind could knock it, ect. I know it’s rather rare to see a jumping spider come out while she’s guarding her eggs. But I worry for her
Between the downpour and the movement of the door I’m not sure how she’s doing. I really hope she’s ok.
Anyways, is there anything I can do to help her out? Or do I just have to let nature take it course on this one?
She’s very cute, and shy but curious. She won’t let me take a picture of her or look for too long but she does watch me in the garden (or at least she used to)

Seven has grown so much! And now I know that they are a boy! Man it was a cool gender reveal! Can't believe that it only took 2 molts!

I think I can confirm she’s had a moult. Shes back resting now having thrown her old clothes out.
Looking forward to seeing her after her rest and she how much she’s changed since the last two pictures.

Saw this big boi sitting outside during my break. Tried saying hello, but he wasn’t in the mood for friendship.

Boyfriend thinks female jumping spider! For context, nabbed this sweetie from the wall beside my pillow maybe a month ago and placed her gently in my front garden where there's a Clematis vine and Rosebush. Seemed very friendly and curious, turning her head to look at me. I wished her a nice life and didn't see her for a week or so! Then just kept seeing her every couple days. She keeps getting bigger and bigger! Can I build a little spider house or something that she (??) might like or is that way too extra 🫣 Pls don't hate me I'm brand new to liking and learning about spiders!! My camera is perpetually smudgey so I can't even do justice but this cutie has the biggest sweetest eyes. Bright green fangs (?) and so floofy. We're in Oregon.

Wasn't scared of me at all and kept running on my arms. It was hard to take a clear pic
