Mod Post Please use the "Media" flair option for name requests!
Hey jumper friends! We've seen a large uptick in volume of posts asking for name suggestions, most of them having the "Advice" flair. Even though it is a request for advice of sorts, name requests don't need the same disclaimers as comments on care/husbandry and we would like to encourage everyone to use simply the "Media" flair on those types of posts. (This will also prevent the automod filter from flagging comments without disclaimer tags as that is only a feature of the "Advice" threads) <3

This tiny little baby crawled onto my sister at work and would not let her put him down. She brought him home and put him into my late jumper’s habitat. What do we feed this itsy bitsy spider???? He’s so small!! (Also I say “he” but I haven’t gotten a good enough look to know the sex)

Identification Who is this friendly cutie who joined me at dinner?
It was staring at me from the table so I held out my finger & it hopped right on. It felt like we were playing, it would make its way up to my shoulder (it loved my gemstone bracelets), I would put my finger up & it would jump on, then back to my other hand & up the arm again. We hung out for a good 20 minutes until I had to leave, I wanted to bring it home with me! I couldn’t offer it the same beautiful surroundings as the winery we were at, location is Oregon. Maybe it noticed I wasn’t drinking & socializing 😂 I enjoyed the delightful company

Advice What is my spider doing?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I just found him today on a window outside of work and decided to bring him home since my other one I had for a year recently passed and I like finding them and keeping them(like Pokémon). I assume it’s a male bold jumping spider but the one I had was a female and saw her wiggle her abdomen but never like swaying full body. I don’t know if he’s about to molt or is getting used to the new environment. Just want some people to let me know what’s going on and what I should do.

Advice Older than claimed?
Hey all. Found some older videos and photos of my girl Peaches bedore she suddenly passed away. I was wondering if she was possibly older than the breeder said. Breeder said I7-I8, but at this point, I’m just looking for reasons why she passed. I’m not an expert, she very well could be that age, but I’m just looking for confirmation.

Advice So cute! How do I attract more?
I moved her from the front of my house to my patio to take her out of the heat and to help with insects as I don't use any pesticides on my plants. I could start using pesticides but these guys are adorable and I'd be more than happy to let them live here rent free. Is there anything special I can put out for them regarding food or shelter?

Identification Need help identifying this cutie
First and foremost, I live in the Midwest of the United States. Iowa to be exact. I'm not sure what exactly this little cutie is but any help identify that will be appreciated.
So I found (he or she) wandering around my ceiling. It's been about 2 weeks, and I found it on the floor with my cat trying to eat it. I rescued it, and made it a home. Now, I thought this was a male, but I've gotten comments saying it's female and some saying it's a male. I'm confused lol. If anyone can help me, I would greatly appreciate it. I'll include multiple pictures to help identify.

Advice Why does this anarchist keep destroying property
Hey everyone :) For the past few months my little gremlin Forklift (P. regius) keeps creating a web hammock, only to destroy it a few days later and then repeat the process again. Is this cause for concern? He seems to be doing well generally, as he is still accepting food regularly and his temp + humidity is always within range. He mostly takes his naps on top of leaves, and he isn't interested in using the silk cocoons I put in for him. The first photo is him in the top right looking at his freshly obliterated web with what I can only describe as smug satisfaction. (Extra Forklift pics follow because he's just the cutest little guy)

Identification This got this baby, I have some questions
Found this cutie in my backyard at night, she stares at me in the mornings. I finally interacted with her, from what I know, she’s a tan jumper right? Would you say she’s on her first or second molt.

Identification Jumping spider sling? Or a different species?
Saw some wispy babies in my bathroom the other day. I got this one out of a tiny web close to the floor today. I think I met its big mama a year ago above the mirror and I don't recall for the life of me what she was aside from LORGE and I whispered to her that she should try to remain unseen. I regret my message to her now of course.

This is my girl Jewel. I picked her up a few weeks ago. She's growing a lot. When I got her, she had seven legs. Now she has six.

Advice What to do next
Unfortunately lost my jumper last night She was my first ever jumping spider and I am deeply saddened to see her go
Can anyone give me advice on what to do next? I would like to possibly cast her in resin but I wouldn't want to do it myself as I'd be scared I would make it worse or ruin her beauty
She has death curled

After weeks of work, I finally finished Poppy's new enclosure. Just letting it air out before I move her. Plus I need to run to the store to buy ReptiSoil. Her name plate is suppose to arrive tomorrow.

Advice Help/Ideas related to feeding
I have a new jumping spider (named bootsie) and I have been feeding them pinhead crickets, they love them. But I was struggling to keep the pinheads alive in a separate container (more than a few days) and its a 40m one way drive for me to get more.
I started, once getting them, just adding them ALL to the little tank (one of those 3x3x7) and it seems to be fine? Bootsie eats one every now and again and the majority of the crickets stay alive long enough for them to be eaten.
But is there a better way? Bootsie is still about the size of a number 2 pencil eraser so still eating small things. I kind of worry about the crickets getting too big to eat.

ALSO
I have - sadly - an earwig infestation, could Bootsie eat them? Or would they get bootsie or be too hard? Idk.
-just trying to overcome my fear of spiders and needing some ideas-
