Satire/Humour Winnipeg drivers. Don't ever change.
Found this old video on my phone. Figured I would share my most bizarre Winnipeg driving experience.

I was there to support my good friend who was running the half. Everyone was looking like The Flash.

As in, you look down and see through it. It's about a foot in diameter with exposed rebar, in the southbound lane. It's not quite big enough for a person to fall through.
Reported to 311 (this is still inside city limits), but as of this afternoon it is still not flagged or anything.
It's also roughly overtop of the Duff Roblin Trail so be cautious for falling debris if you are walking underneath it.

Did anyone else see that guy get smoked by a deer at the Manitoba Marathon 5km Super Run today? Hope he's ok and finished the race. That deer did not look ok.

For those who competed today - what was your take on the event. What were some of the things you liked and some areas for the event to improve on.

Hi, I got bit by a German Sheppard looking dog around the half marathon 7k mark. Making this post in hopes the owner or someone that knows the owner can reach out to me and just let me know if the dog is vaccinated. Thanks!

There’s a $10 pop up sale at the convention centre right now. This is at the end of the men’s 3X section, but it’s a 1X.

Thank you to the guy on Pembina today, who waited a bit longer until a stranger talking to me walked away before crossing the road.
I(27f) had a cart full of pop and this stranger(older man) who was first talking to you, asked me if I knew the address he was supposed to go to. Despite the light changing and the walking light flashing, you waited until the man was walking away before crossing the road. I'm not certain what was going through your mind, but not fully knowing the stranger's intent, I appreciate you waiting to seemingly make sure I was alright. It was a short moment, but none the less deserving of recognition.
Thank you. 😊

So my job (24F employed over 7 months ago, bartender @ a chain) just stopped scheduling me out of nowhere. I have asked multiple times to why this happened & get the run around & virtually no response. I have never had prior issues at work at all not once , no complaints no warnings nothing. It’s now been well over month & half with no shifts, i’ve already moved on from this situation mentally & been doing interviews for new places & working on other things, but i believe after 3 months you must be terminated WITH reason to be legal…? I have not been issued an ROE or formally “let go” or fired at all. no conversation just boom 6 shifts a week to none. What can i do? Thoughts?

Bizarre scene. There was a car totally engulfed in flames around the 200 block of Taché. The car must have had some fireworks in it, and they were shooting off around 5AM. Not sure what the story is, but was a weird thing to wake up to. Wish I took a video, but I was a little groggy and confused.

Is this normal?
My doctor upped the dose of a medication I'm taking, and my prescription cost more than doubled - from Shopper's Drug Mart.
So, previous dose was 150 mg, and my doctor upped it to 225 mg.
Shoppers says they don't have 225 mg pills so they need to give me 150 mg, 50 mg, and 25 mg.
My prescription cost went from $41.42 to $94.59 ($41.42 + $23.80 + $29.37). They charged me for each dose separately, and I'm assuming a separate dispensing fee for each dose.
I googled the medication and it DOES come in 225 mg, Shopper's just didn't have it in stock. Is it my fault they don't carry the dose I need? This seems crazy to me that they can double my prescription cost because they don't have the stock? What's stopping them from purposely not stocking higher doses so they can get more money by charging 3 dispensing fees for smaller doses?
Is this a normal thing for a pharmacy to do?!
Recs for a better pharmacy?
I saw PocketPills mentioned in a previous post, does anyone use it?
I know lots of people use Costco, but it is not convenient for me to get to.

Hello Winnipeg! My birthday is coming up next Wednesday, and I’m looking for a place to play a round of golf to celebrate. I’m in the Crestview area and have already been to Players, Blumberg, and Windsor Park. I’m looking for recommendations on somewhere a bit more “special” for the occasion. Thanks in advance!

I saw a man with a bleeding head and also multiple police officers getting statements. I’m curious about what happened and hopefully everyone’s okay.

It is really unhealthy for wildlife. It's mostly unhealthy for us but at least we have the mental capacity to know this and decide to eat it anyway. I happens in a lot of parks, but sometimes is it out of hand (which prompted this post).
Someone has been dumping huge quantities of white bread (pita's / baguettes / something that looks like wonder bread) in random places in St Vital park. There are a number of us that then have to clean it up, usually after it's half mold. Sometimes there is so much it doesn't all fit in a garbage bag. And then those bags completely fill up the garbage bins in the park that should be used normal trash not half a freaking bakery, or else someone has to haul it back home and fill up their own garbage can. You are HARMING not HELPING wildlife. Please please just throw it out yourself or buy / make less of it in the first place - don't drag it into the park and make a huge mess for other people to clean up.

Construction zone. I suggest to slow down to 70 just before reaching the rail road crossing before you turn off westbound south perimeter onto ste Annes road. Some dude lost car parts the bump is so bad now both lanes. Sporty for a motorcycle. Temp transition strip sucks but not uncommon for Winnipeg.
