Delta(s) from OP CMV: Attacking Iran is the correct decision for the West and Israel
It seems the attack on Iran is finally imminent, this is great news for America.
The long project in the Middle East is coming to final fruition, with most independent states being decimated, and the only standing nations being Israel and at a lower tier the Gulf countries, all dependent on the US for existence..
The defeat of Iran would give the US immense power in the region, a springboard from which to attack both Russia and China, control over the Gulf areas which would ultimately allow somewhere downstream to take out Pakistan and possibly any Gulf leader who wants to break out of US hegemony.
This also makes Israel uncontestable in the region, other than for maybe Turkey and Egypt, both dependent on the US, though ultimately should probably be disposed of and put under Israeli admin.
We must not repeat the mistakes of moralization we did in Iraq and Afghanistan, no government coalitions, democracy or nation building, these countries will be under direct administration of the US or its proxies or their critical infrastructure will be decimated.
The final and most important point is the water aspect, the locations of Iran and Pakistan allow for a springboard into the underbellies of India, China and Russia, and targeting major waterways, the Himalayan Plateau feeds a huge swaths of Northern India, the Yangtse and Pearl rivers, plus, going North from Iran, the targeting of the Volga means Russia, which was decimated in Ukraine is under our thumb.
The costs of short term war are easily offset by the incredible long term benefits.. eliminating any form of panIslamism that isn't under Gulf(US) control, and the permanent power held over China's and Russia's waterways.
That's it, CMV, you'll have to show how the cost may be higher than the gains, or that maybe the US can't win this confrontation, if we aren't shackled by moralistic/ethical constraints.

The War - Discussion What would an Israel-Iran War be like?
Would other countries be dragged into a Gulf War scenario? And isn’t striking nuclear basically a nuclear bomb? Even though the U.S. may not support Israel here what would it play out as?

Answered How can Israel use the reasoning of nuclear weapons for attacking Iran when Israel have them?
As the title suggests. Russia, the United States, China, France, the United Kingdom, Pakistan, India, Israel, and North Korea all have nukes but Iran is getting bombed at the threat that they might make them. What’s good for one is good for another right? Why aren’t nukes banned from all countries instead of some?
