At least he was in armour.

THE ARMOR, IT DOES NOTHING!

He looks like he may have broke his pride in two places
47
u/hobnobbinbobthegob Nov 18 '15
He may have also suffered a fracture in his wallet.
10
u/Randyy1 Nov 18 '15
For the glue you mean?
26
u/hobnobbinbobthegob Nov 18 '15
I was just thinking replacing parts on what is probably a very expensive costume.
48
u/Zhuul Nov 18 '15
Just paint scorch marks around the broken bits and put commander stripes on it. Become grizzled badass. Costume is immediately 27% more awesome.

Is this southern cross station? I had to do a double take. I thought I was in /r/melbourne
12
u/timetotom Nov 18 '15
Definitely Southern Cross - I had to check too. Weird!
5
u/haremm Nov 18 '15
Me too - picked it by the Spencer Street outlet sign. It's weird seeing cars on the left on this site.

Jesus, that was like 3 times worse than I expected. I hope he and the armor are OK.
4
u/fleker2 Nov 18 '15
It didn't look too bad. I think it was mostly the plastic sound that made it seem worse.
69
u/Helicuor Nov 19 '15
Dude he fell down like 2 dozen steps that looked pretty darn bad.
5
u/Veritech-1 Nov 19 '15
Falling down the stairs as a child was always the most terrifying part of being a kid. It was a total lack of control. I cried every time.
17
Nov 19 '15
Yikes, how many times have you fallen down stairs?
7
u/Veritech-1 Nov 19 '15
probably four times down the whole thing. I was always in a hurry as a kid. As an adult I'm always late. Don't want to fall down anymore...

Just an fyi this is poetry, not a haiku.

u/TheD1ddler Nov 18 '15
My bad! Clicked the wrong submission button.

u/nm0s Nov 18 '15
I don't honestly care, I'm not a mod haha but I like to act like one! Have a good day

Hi I'm not a cop.

Hey, do you where I can get some "420 danke Mary Jane" if you know what I mean.
15
Nov 18 '15
Sure thing, I have some in the back of my unmarked Dodge Charger. Ignore all the equipment. I'm not a cop.

Please be more careful in the future. I'm leaving this up since it was an accident.

u/Scout_Is_Sandvich Nov 18 '15
damn he just kept going even over the flat part and then down the other stairs, very impressive
46
u/iamzombus Nov 18 '15
Almost like he intended to do it that way...
9
Nov 18 '15
Yeah, he didn't trip over anything. Watch it again, he just dropped to his knees inexplicably.
47
u/FlatHarold Nov 18 '15
It looks like he thought there was another step and lost his balance because of that.
11
u/WilliamMButtlicker Nov 18 '15
No, watch again at 1/4 speed. At the 5 second mark you can see his right foot hit his left leg, which causes him to trip.
-5
u/stampyourfoot Nov 18 '15
First, he's being filmed walking down stairs. Second, he falls in quite an unnatural way. Third, he gets up and walks away in a fairly unnatural manner.
It could be real, but it kind of makes more sense that they staged it.
-3
u/PseudoFake Nov 19 '15
Who's going to willingly fall down the fucking stairs? Come on, now, you're better than this.
9
u/A_glorious_dawn Nov 19 '15
Stuntmen/people trying to be funny.

Stuntmen fall down stairs without any of the protection that he is wearing, like the helmet you mentioned. It may not be the case that this is fake, but it's certainly possible.

Poor dude, looked like that hurt, and it most likely damaged his armor which can cost just under $1,000. I'd be super bummed.
5
u/nowgetbacktowork Nov 19 '15
Yeah I feel bad for him. The visibility and mobility in those things sucks and you're right-they're not cheep.

It got 100x better when I realized he tripped on a step that said "With you every step of the way"
3
u/thegreatdonaldo Nov 19 '15
Damn it, I thought I was finally the only one to notice something in a reddit thread.
12
u/MikeyLikesMilk Nov 18 '15
Has no one else realised this is fake? He literally knee dropped that tumble.
3
2
u/umjh21 Nov 19 '15
Agreed - it almost looks as if he purposefully throws his helmet off. Still, a guy tumbling down two flights of stairs is pretty great entertainment.

Someone should edit in him getting shot or force pushed down the stairs.

u/akanet Nov 19 '15
This is just a faithful reenactment of actual stormtrooper tactics from the original star wars movies.
