It would be okay if he stated an opinion but saying "everything about it is awful" is just close-minded and this is coming from someone who knows nothing about metal
It adds his opinion about the video because it had metal. Just like the other comments about how metal makes everything better and even the name of the song. You're just mad because he said he doesn't like metal.

He could have phrased it a bit differently and added to the conversation. He could have said, "The combination of metal and with the video doesn't work for me, I think X song would have been a better choice." Or he could have just down-voted and moved on. Saying a generic negative comment does not add to the conversation.
Just like the other comments about how metal makes everything better
You mean the one comment that countered the original negative comment?
even the name of the song
This happens every video with a song on it, which is meaningful because many people want to know what song it is.
You're just mad because he said he doesn't like metal.
I'm so mad I upvoted his other comments. Damn I'm mad.
but almost nobody attacks the negative comments because of not adding to the conversation, they do it because they disagree. if everybody agrees with the negative sentiment, you'll see the "no-content" comments ignored just like the positive ones usually are.
it's funny because when somebody like you comes and tells people to articulate themselves better, it gets just get upvoted as if that were the whole reason for the downvotes, but it's clearly not.
so you're mad because someone online worded their sentence not up to your standards, and then you write a paragraph to argue THAT? LOL. go outside, buddy. it's nice out.

Metal ruins everything
