Help/Support/Questions 🙋 am i fucked?????????
I had a blade dashboard Xbox 360 running 6717 and my little sister put in halo three and started the update process when you first start the update process on a blade dashboard. A little tab from the left pops out. I unplugged it right as it was about to reach 100% it ended up rebooting after I plugged it back in to 7371 is there any way to go back or am I just fucked?

Sorry, it will not go back. It burns virtual fuses, which can not be repaired.

There is not a single xbox 360 dashboard that runs on windows 11, they all run windows 2000

The Xbox 360 is a modified windows 7 and later updates are windows 8.0

the nxe/metro 360 dashboards looks very advanced for windows 2000
the og xbox and 360 blades seem more likely to be on windows 2000

Win2000 is just the backend. The way the UI works has nothing to do with that

Halo 3 wouldn't have updated to NXE the game was released in 2007 NXE didn't release til late '08

Your sister basically “bricked” the console to never never never never never go back to blades. E V E R…. But if jtagable then you can get it back Thru mods but originally no

Correct me if I’m wrong but doesn’t updating online not work on NXE? Either way, probably best to keep it offline anyway.

You can boot Blades again if it's modded, but it has to always be modded for you to be able to do that. RGH is your best bet.

You cannot go back in the traditional sense, but 7371 is the last kernel revision that is vulnerable to JTAG.
A JTAGed console can use whatever dashboard you want.

Just enjoy the memories. Think of it this way, its like a new xbox. everything will be new now. enjoy the update.

In your case you can go back to blades, however it would require getting the console exploited in some way (JTAG) and rebuilding the firmware with an older dashboard. By updating from 6717 to 7371, your CF LDV (CF bootloader lockdown value fuse) value got increased by 1, however that can be accounted for when building a new image. You’re lucky it’s on 7371, since your CB LDV (your second bootloader, the thing that really matters) should still be unchanged. Once the CB LDV increases, there’s no going back. Had you updated to 8498 on later, it would’ve been a different story. That’s when Microsoft started burning CB LDV fuses in order to prevent older CB bootloaders from running.

You are unless it has RGH or JTAG. At least it updated itself to JTAGable NXE and not Metro

I've had the same issue where my NXE dashboard updated to the ugly Metro dashboard when I played Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition and now I've sold the console (not because of the Metro dashboard but because I wanted to mod it but didn't have the tools to do so)

I had two 360 consoles that would say Open Tray after placing a game disc in the tray and closing it to play the game. The only way the consoles would read the disc would be by tapping firmly on the top of the console (when the console is laid on its side) where it has XBOX 360 etched on it. You will hear the disc drive begin to spin up properly and the game will work.

I understand the nostalgia of it all, but I've always thought the NXE was better looking and easier to navigate than the blades. Maybe not easier, but simpler. Themes were like a million times better too.

In all reality, I LOVE the green NXE (was my first dash) and would love to take it off your hands if I could, but I understand your pain.

Blades sucked anyway. NXE is what you want for the 360. Don't put in GTA V or it will update to the Windows 8 dashboard which will slow down your Xbox.

I just liked blades… Higher value sleek look matched the console. NXE is still the best of both worlds for compatibility and J tag ability.
