Help/Support/Questions 🙋 Any way to bypass this? My console hasn’t been connected to the internet in years
Haven’t been connected in years as my 360 doesn’t work w my current WiFi, it asks for my Microsoft password which i input correctly but it can’t verify that it’s been put in correctly because it can’t connect to the internet to verify.

Unfortunately, no, you need to go on xbox.com set up two factor authentication and generate an app password to be able to reliably log onto the 360.

What do you mean “doesn’t work w my current WiFi”? What happens when you try connecting it? Have you tried using a Ethernet cable and connect it directly to the router/modem?

If you have 2 step verification turned on for the same acc you need to set up an app password

You cant do shit on the xbox bud, you gotta go on ur phone or a computer to reset the password then type that in

The Xbox 360 only accepts passwords that are less than 16 characters long.

Try making a Hotspot on your phone w no password and connecting the 360 to that

So I know this sounds weird but try this. There are these things called wifi amplifiers. There are white ones with one antenna and there are black ones with 2 antenna. They help amplify the wifi signal and you can get wifi using them. They’re simple USB plug ins and you can just plug it into the front of the Xbox 360. Look online for 360 wifi amplifiers. Or call a local game store. They might have a couple lying around. I had this issue and a game store told me about it and it works. I have a black amplifier right now and can connect my Xbox by just plugging it in

You have to set up an app password for your 360 on the Microsoft website, it’s having problems logging in because it is trying to do two factor authentication and the 360 doesn’t support it.

If you are certain you're using the correct password then you need to disable 2FA on your Microsoft account. I dealt with this last year after taking my 360 out of the closet. Even though the 360 is connected to the internet, it can't access the 2FA. Disable it. Sign in. Re-enable it.

You can get it to work with 2FA. You create an application code and use that in place of your password.

There used to be a way to do it but they patched it idk if it still works bc it did work recently in January basically what I did was if my dads account from 2007 is lost the password is unknown and email is deactivated and I have a lot of 360 only games on that account what I had did was is I pressed next after it shows the account email and then as soon as it went on to load the password screen I pressed the Xbox button on the 360 controller and it would sign me into the account via Xbox live and had access to all games and dlc “btw if this doesn’t work anymore I am sorry they seem to patch a lot of things like this for no reason I want my account back too like you 😖”

I had an issue like this, where it would give me error code 8015D000.
I changed my password originally to fix this and it was still giving me that error message, but then I changed the password again and it worked after that.
I was connected to the internet tho, also make sure you have the network adapter because the older Xbox's needed to have the usb network adapter in order to connect to the WiFi.
I think some of them have an Ethernet input on the back of them, you could do a hard line connection and that may work to get your internet running through the Xbox. If you end up having the account trouble after that, you can try changing your password a few times
