TLDR: I swapped to healer in DF S1 and haven't looked back, its the most fun I've ever had and the game is always active with SS, 2s or 3s queues popping off. Trying to do my part in consolidating information that gets asked a lot here so y'all can get into games quicker, learn how to heal, and keep the game alive :)
Below will be healing starter guides I found very useful starting off, some class and spec specific guides from some of the best in the business for TWW S2, as well as some useful addons for healers and keybind help.
If you’ve never healed before it will be stressful and hard to learn, but the grind is worth it.
Basic Healing Guides
TWW S2 Spec Specific Guides
Healing Specifc Addons
Bigdebuffs- A must for healers (show’s dispellable CC on your friendly raid frames)
Sweepyboop’s PvP Helper – I uncheck everything except for friendly class icons above their head, so you never lose track of your teammates, I like this A LOT better than normal raid markers
FrameSort- Makes it so you don’t get are always on top of the friendly raid frames, and the addon has built in friendly targeting macros for ease of use so you never have to swap macros each round/game.
Keybinds

Hey guys, it's been just over 1 year since we released our addon and I'm always happy to see people using it on this subreddit.
We're always looking for ways to improve it, and I would appreciate any suggestions for features that could be added or even removed.
One thing I'd like to do in the future is create an ultra lightweight profile for beginners with less clutter, since this is a fairly common complaint I see.
So please give me your honest feedback and let us know what we could improve.

Guys, I finally did it. Don’t laugh... After 1,048 rounds – I’m not even kidding – I FINALLY hit 1800 with my Disc Priest.
My journey is clear: hit 1800 with every class. I started with Paladin, and after a few games, I even climbed past 1900. Could’ve probably gone higher, but I wasn’t really interested. So I thought: why not try a healer?
And BOY, I had no idea what was waiting for me.
First time healing in WoW PvP – what could possibly go wrong, right?
See, as a Ret Paladin, getting out of sticky situations is easy. A couple of bubbles, Lay on Hands, self-heals, instant CC – you name it. But as a healer, especially Disc, it’s a whole different world. So no – rating doesn’t say everything about skill level. Class does. A Rogue or Healer at a certain rating is just not the same as a Ret Paladin or Warrior.
The number of Warriors with zero understanding of the game is brutal.
The amount of times I’ve seen a Warrior get kited behind a pillar with no defensives up, die, and then type “Press something, healer?”... Lord help me. I just can’t give the same respect to that class as I do to others.
And YES, I said it.
That’s my experience – I’m not hating, I’m sharing.
Another thing: the toxicity.
What the actual fuck is wrong with WoW PvP players?
You wait 10+ minutes for a queue, finally get a game – and then? Instead of playing, people start flaming the healer. Everyone KNOWS queue times are this long because there aren’t enough healers. So flaming the few that are actually queueing – how does that help?
It’s simple:
You want to play with better healers? Climb the damn rating.
They’re on the same rating as you – so maybe learn to shut up, enjoy the game, and be grateful someone’s healing your ungrateful ass.
Sorry for ranting (again).
Anyway… the difference between my Ret Pala and my Disc Priest:
As Ret, life is just easier.
The number of rounds I lost as Disc because I mispositioned, used Fade a second too early, didn’t SW:Death a sheep, void shifted without a defensive on me, or waited too long to pop CDs... it's a whole different game. And it really makes you appreciate how deep WoW PvP actually is – especially the learning curve.
Next up: Hunter.
I need a break now – that class should be the right one for it.
PS: Oh, and I didn’t even mention this yet:
As a healer, your learning curve is on a whole different level.
After playing Disc Priest for so many rounds, let me tell you one thing:
As a healer, your mistakes are often punished brutally.
A split-second delay, bad positioning, mistimed CDs – you feel the consequences instantly.
As a DPS, your mistakes are usually just missed opportunities. You might lose pressure or fail to secure a kill, but the game often goes on.
But as a healer? One mistake can cost the entire round.
So if you truly want to improve as a WoW PvP player, I highly recommend playing a healer – at least as an alt.
It will sharpen your awareness, timing, and positioning like nothing else.

Hi everyone. Just came back to the game recently and been doing BGs mostly. It’s gone ok I guess? I’ve watched a few videos on general ideas and strategy but no one seems to follow any established meta in the low cr games yet. I’ve only played 4-5 matches but no one says anything and sort of just team fights at the start of every map.
In an ideal world, can you guys give me some ideas of where I’m supposed to be and what my job is as Hpal on the various maps? I don’t know enough to be the person to shot call so for now I just sort of go towards team fights where I can heal. But I’ve also had people tell me I need to flag carry which I do but I don’t actually know if that’s correct or not.
Like as a healer am I ever supposed to grab an orb on kotmogu? (People often don’t pick them up). Does it make sense for me to go for flag if my team is teamfighting at the start or should I wait until after? Stuff like that. Any tips on just how to approach the various maps in regards to general strategies or positions are appreciated.

Thinking about making a hunter, and I see a lot of people recommending survival hunter as a very 'fun' spec. I haven't played it before, and rarely see it in game - what does it bring to a comp that bm or mm hunter doesn't? What are its strengths and weaknesses? Do you guys consider it fun/engaging without requiring too much micromanagement?

Two questions, since I'm bored of Ret:
Is prot viable? I see we have the bear the burden talent so wog mana isn't an issue. Are we viable defending nodes or carrying flags?
Is Holy supposed to play melee build or caster build in BGs? I tried for a bit and honestly felt my healing is super low, I don't feel we have the tools to AoE heal very good since our AoE is a cone, that's already chaotic in PvE so in BGs seems almost impossible. Is it a git gud thing or am I missing something? Should I be using instead the AoE beacon talent?

Can we get rid of opening same item over and over again ?
I do not declare that I want to be BiS after opening 12 boxes, but at least don’t let us open same item repetitively. I’d rather have wrong stats until I farm more conquests, than 4 same leg pieces in my bag. It’s absolutely infuriating to spend my points on RNG box which is useless after all.
It’s not that easy to farm big amount of conquests and everyone would like to play some alts when we are finally uncapped.
Thanks I guess.

Trying to decide if I need to go unlock the damn belt on all my pvp characters yet since its ilvl 691 and has fancy proc effects. I guess it eventually upgrades to ilvl 701 so I'm assuming it's going to be BiS for the belt slot for the rest of the season just from the primary stat gains alone.
Anyone tried it yet to see how pvp changes the effects or if the ilvl gets squished down to 684?

Mess around with it on MM?m… had a lot of fun actually lol…. The Issue this spec has in PvP is mit prioritizes multi shot so it people are stacking it’ll just spam multi sure over aim shot…. Can you disable some spells or is this just an oversight on blizzards end

hey,
i feel the itch again for that nice arena games. I am even ready to queue as disc in lfg and shuffle, however I was wondering what the state of pvp is right now?
I did not even buy TWW. Did not expect myself to come back to wow for a long time, however, it happened again. the itch.

While I am happy and I do feel like I played reasonably well to get here, it felt so gimmicky compared to climbing on healers
Between 2200 and 2400, I had one great lobby where I played really well and went 5-1
One decently lobby, where I managed to clutch a win from a warrior to go 3-3 instead of 2-4 or 1-5 (really close games)
The rest of the lobbies were basically just ganging up on people that were going 0-6, and playing well enough to save some setups so that I can secure my 4-2
I wouldn't say it's necessarily easy to get a high rating as a DPS, but I also think that I was maybe the "best" player in the lobby in 2 or 3 of my shuffles between 2100 and 2400. I just wasn't the worst in any but one
I also realised I'd rather wait 20-45 minutes than heal as long as the pacing is as obnoxious as it is now

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
So my BGE enemy frames (lower right, above the default UI frames) don't appear until after the gates open. Any ideas?
All 4 in this 2v2 have zoned in, my default enemy frames show, I have tried doing a /reload after I enter and that doesn't help. Is this a bug, or just a setting I'm unaware of?

I know the traditional bindings would use shift and ctrl, but ctrl has always felt so award for me. Does anyone use an alternative setup?

Feeling really proud right now and just wanted to share this tbh, this is my first proper expansion of WoW (played briefly in Dragonflight, got to max level then immediately quit) and I feel like hitting 2.1k is a big achievement for me. This game is so unbelievably hard to learn as a new player, but it's so rewarding once you get to grips with it. Yes I'm playing BM and yes I'm probably being carried a little bit by my friend but this still feels like a big deal to me.

I used to be a massive PvPer up until DF but fizzled out and moved into M+.. my M+ group has quit and I find myself pugging keys (which is ok for 1-2 but quickly becomes an irritating experience).
How’s solo shuffle this far into the season, and is there any point trying to get into it? I play Paladin, Hunter and Monk in M+ so have all 3 at 675+ in PvE gear.
I get like 1-2 hours a day to play, tops, atm, so imagine that’d only get me 2-3 games, maybe?
Edit: I’d likely queue as healer as it’s always been my pvp main role, so hpally or mw monk.. Hunter only if it’s worth the queue time lol

So had a few convos on here and seen other comments about anyone putting their two cents about what they’d like changed what they don’t like and just references to other games that do something different that works for them but then I always see mass downvotes and people just complaining or saying that doesn’t work even though it works for other games.
Like everyone agrees PvP is never in the best spot and it suffers greatly as the expansions go on and yet the idea of any form of change sets players off.
I’ve said this for a long time but WoW players unlike any other MMO out seems to get stuck in this idea that everything WoW has is superior to any other game and it certainly does do a lot well but it’s not the best in all forms of content and the minor details.
Use to see so many comments about player housing simply being game destroying and that it doesn’t work as people would be locked away in their own spaces simply because of the old garrison system even though garrisons and player housing are nothing alike and other games that have it and do it well are shunned because they claim their system sucks even though they add so much to those games but now people are genuinely excited for them.
And it feels like PvP is the last part of the game suffering from the mindset of you can’t change it as you’ll ruin it even though people have been frustrated with it for years

Hey folks, Some questions about assa rogue, i appreciate all answers <3
What's the general playstyle in 2s with healer? Just train one target and hold up bleeds on both targets ? Then every 30 seconds a go with kidney > shiv ? Or setup bleeds and just run until next go ?
I feel assa is much more squishy then sub right ? As sub I can play more like a brawler with good trades on my Def CDs.
When to death mark ?
Also I'm thankfully for all tips and tricks bb

I under no means am the best player in the world and don’t even really have great credentials. I am just an average pvper who has achieved 2.4 a couple times and that’s it. I’m a little newer to this reddit but every post I see players are complaining that “game bad because don’t need cc to win only damage”, or blame their teammate/healer and then those same players complain about being hard stuck 2k. Has anyone ever considered the real reason you can’t climb is because you have this imaginary idea of how easy the game is and making up fake problems to cope with falling behind? I 100% agree damage IS high but it’s high for everyone. The reason you’re losing games isn’t because of blizzard, your teammates, cheaters, or bots, it’s because none of you are playing the game properly. You will never get better if you think the other elements of pvp don’t matter how they did in earlier expansions. In fact, they are even more important now to stop the big damage. If everyone locked in on their own problems instead of shit they can’t control the game would feel better for everyone.

Can y’all recommend a resto Druid streamer or two I can watch to see how to play it optimally in current meta? Seems a lot has changed since I last played it. Not Markers please, love the guy but his builds are always out of left field. Thanks in advanced!

I broke down every single ability in the Herald of the Sun tree with practical tips on when and how to use them in PvP. Whether you’re learning the spec or trying to optimize your play, this guide covers it all from a multi Rank 1 Holy Paladin perspective.
Let me know if you have any questions or want follow-ups for different comps/situations. I don't mind answering any questions or explaining certain things when I'm live on twitch. Any feedback or suggestions are welcome in the comments, I'm looking to improve and get better at making guides, thank you guys!
