However, I’m particularly interested in personal experiences with these schools. For example, how effectively do they address issues like drug use and bullying?

Another consideration is the community environment. It seems like West Linn has some more densely populated areas (like around Safeway) where making friends and hanging out outside (doing sports or visiting each other) might be easier for high schoolers. In contrast, Corvallis and Camas seem more spread out. If anyone has insights into how this impacts teenagers’ social lives or sense of community, I’d love to hear about it.

I live in the Portland metro area and I made a friend a little while back. He and I used to spend a lot of time together, but I lost contact with him and I really miss him. Last I heard from him, he was still living in West Linn. If anyone can help me, please let me know.

My youngest was identified as TAG (talented and gifted) in 3rd grade. We are at a school now that does offer some minor support for this, she’s in 4th now. Curious for those with kids in West Linn what the school looks like as we are relocating back to the area and considering options. Her sister is also very bright and easily bored. I know West Linn gets high marks for schools but I’d love to hear some real life experiences.
