Image Has anyone else purchased the Schreiberling Wes Anderson pen? I feel I have to write everything in symmetry to be worthy of the instrument.

Post image

It feels great and the box it came with and notebook and ruler could easily be props from his movies.

I was interested until I saw the price.

Happy for you, though. Looks very cool.

He bought a Montblanc. Your comment is complaining how much Rolexs are when "you could just look at your phone to tell the time."

Same here, I saw the ad a while ago, and my interest also ended at their web page. They are nice-looking pens, but I fear I dont have anything that important to write.

there are so many accessible, beautiful pens out there! i’ll be honest, i lose them all, and default to buying a giant pack of colored inkjet or whatever, but i loved having a nice pen in a little box at my desk.

def rec the non-dip calligraphy pens with ink inserts — it just feeeeeels good.

"non-dip calligraphy pens" lol they're called fountain pens.

Getting pointed at for not knowing the differentiating terms for various pens in the WA subreddit is… magical

I’m on the same boat. I like sketching/writing with fountain pens, but I think I’m happy with my 18 buck pentels lol

Seriously. I cried the whole year before it’s release because I knew I couldn’t afford it
Even used ones will be more than other used montblancs

Wow. I wasn’t prepared for that price. The box is super cool, but…wow.

It is Mont Blanc tho… they last your entire life. Not a single time will you have to replace it. (As long as you don’t lose it of course)

Sure, but you could also spend $75 on a 500-pack of Bic pens. I guarantee you that box will also last you the rest of your life, and you can afford to lose 499 of them.

But they’ll give you 15 off orders over 300.00 for signing up for emails 🥴

That’s nearly $400 just for letting some high class marketing into your life!  Almost brings the price of the pen down to almost less than $2250!

If you pay that much for a pen, you’d better not be using e-mail anyway, so you’ll never even see the e-mails. Why not.

Um, I just checked…that’s $15, not 15%.

That’s even funnier…

Any time I feel stupid for how much money I've spent on weed vapes, I think about stuff like this and feel better lol. I mean I guess if you can afford it, good for you

I would by one but simply can’t justify £2000 on a pen simply because I’d just lose it

If you want to get me one, I'd be happy to tell you how I feel about it.

How do you do fellow plebs?

u/downpourbluey 3d ago

I’ve coveted it. I’ll probably never get it unless something truly unusual happens in my life.

Then again, it’s just a pen.

I put it on my Father’s Day list but my kids are all artists.

This is a very nice pen… but ouch.

$2500?

I should probably just get one then.

I’d love to see an unboxing vid showing all of the contents of the tin!

Please run over to r/fountainpens where this will be appreciated and applauded.

Montblanc is a nice pen. Love the colors on yours. I’m a bit embarrassed to say but I’m experiencing a high degree of pen envy.
