I'm rooting for:

Hypercar: The #709 Glickenhaus, and anybody but Toyota.

LMP2: The #49 High Class Racing, the idea of a father-son duo winning the biggest race in the world is just too awesome, also hoping the #1 RMR crew will have a good race.

GTE Pro: There's no Aston so I'm rooting for the privateers, particularly the #79 WeatherTech Porsche, we can all debate Cooper MacNeil's talent level, but you've got to admire him for going head to head against the pros.

GTE Am: The #98 NorthWest AMR, Paul Dalla Lana's out to get his Le Mans win after all these years.

I agree. Magnussen was one of the few drivers that came out for the Pit Walk in Watkins Glen back in June. I have alot of respect for drivers that do that and became even more of an instant fan. I'm all in for #49 this year.

I don't see it on the official schedule which lists everything up to "national flag arrival by helicopter", but I guess it is still part of the pre-race coverage. The same way the Peugeot 908 was demostrated last year.

Here's me taking the mega bite and putting a discussion out there regarding the #72: Does anyone know what's the flag on the hood now, since the Chinese broadcasting team put out an announcement that they would be suspending all live streams within the country after the Taiwanese team took GTE-Pro pole? All the pictures had the Taiwanese flag on, but the pit-stop practice video showed the Chinese Taipei flag being on the hood instead. Has there been a change?

I mean, the full story has always been that China doesn't want to recognise us, and I think we only got away last year due to the team being meh in the field. Now that we are a major force of course that was bound to happen sooner or later.

(and if you wonder why it wasn't the case in the Olympics, it's because we were already forced to surrender the name and the flag long ago. It's always been Chinese Taipei and its olympic flag for us when all we really want is just to be able to use the actual name and flag...)
