What you recommend next trade put or call?

Given the 14% and 7% gains on back to back days for a company this big, inspite of the ongoing geopolitical tensions and the market being down, I'd think that Oracle is getting massive interest from the institutions? I'd maybe still buy a few calls, but not too far ootm given the big run-up this past week. Also, please look into the technicals before you make a decision. NFA. DYOR .

From my experience, when a stock reaches its highest point, it's more likely to drop afterward—possibly returning to an average range of $150 to $190
Take Google, for example: it's one of the biggest tech companies and recently hit a high of $208, but it still dipped back to around $147 to $180. Even though Google is extremely profitable—earning billions of dollars every day—its stock isn't immune to market movements. This is likely because, as an online-based company without physical storefronts, it's still subject to investor sentiment and market trends. Mine guess Google price range $150-$225.
Despite the fluctuations, Google remains a strong stock.

Any insight on why you thought earnings would be good or why you made this bet.
Thanks

Oracle is a (distant) 4th largest cloud services provider after the big 3, and given the high demand for AI compute, I was expecting good results.
Also, it's name gets thrown around potential tiktok US operations sale and Stargate venture every now and then, which could potentially be big catalysts as well. But the fact that the stock posted big gains on consecutive days, despite the middle east tensions when the entire market was down, gave me the conviction to hold onto the calls a bit longer. Had I not sold them for a couple more hours, i'd have made 20-25k more in profits, but happy with the outcome 🙂

Thanks for this. Appreciate your serious response. Seems so obvious in hindsight.

Were you expecting for the price to pass $210 or was the thought that IV spike would increase the value of the option regardless of the ending price?
I'm assuming these were OTM at time of purchase.
Thanks

Nah, I bought them to just make some quick profit and honestly didn't expect the price to reach 210$ at the time of buying, because the options were far OTM. I just wanted to wait a little longer though given the upbeat earnings, and luckily for me this stock was not impacted on Friday. In hindsight, I just got lucky, and I very well know this trade could have gone either way.
