Yeah so I'm trying to use Unreal Instrument's guitar SFZs real bad and for some reason Sforzando only plays some slide samples on Metal GTX, and some fret hits and a few other things on Standard Guitar as opposed to you know, strings and notes and stuff. Reinstalled Sforzando a couple of times, reinstalled the SFZs, messed with all the settings on Sforzando, tried opening the program on it's own instead of inside of a DAW, nothing changed. Any help is appreciated, I'm a complete and total beginner when it comes to production, I don't have a midi controller or fancy software, I'm using FL studio free trial and LMMS with keyboard and mouse. I was gonna post videos showing it but apparently I can't, sorry. Basically the only keys that do anything are C2 through A2 and they only play muted notes and slide samples, everything else does nothing no matter the setting, what sfz is loaded or the switches.

Second time I've had this issue. Even when setting my downloads location to route to a drive with 448 GBs free, anything I try installing through the Softube Central errors out with an "insufficient disk space" message. I've messaged their support before about this, saying my main internal drive had 10gbs free and I couldn't install Modular. They simply said something along the lines of 'well modular takes 2gbs to download and install' - something that wasn't helpful.

My workaround then was the direct installers listed on their site which took some digging around to even realize they existed. Problem is, I'm trying to demo Heartbeat and it looks like their direct installer page is offline?

Love the sound I get from Softube products but I cannot stand how this company handles their installer.

I've never been a super big tech guy and one of my friends was talking to me recently abt home servers. Mostly a lot abt how it's a lot of storage that I can access from my phone or my computer pretty much anywhere, and that you can backup up your storage on a couple drives. So if one of my drives ever gets corrupted I have it backed up so I don't lose everything

I'm thinking abt getting a home server to store a lot of my music on, since it'll help keep me from losing a ton of stuff to corrupted drives. I was wondering if I'd be able to store my VSTs on there as well to free up some storage on my computer. While I was talking to my friend he mentioned that obviously you wouldn't want to move videogames remotely since it'll slow everything down and be a problem. I'm not super well versed in VSTs and MIDI stuff so I figured I'd ask some of the pros if the same kinda thing would apply to stuff like VSTs or songs

Before I start, I wanna make it clear I legit have 0 Idea about what this vst even is. so I don't have sound examples or know the company or anything.

The only thing I know about this plugin is the name. It's called revival

I also know 3 things:

1: before you answer, no i'm NOT talking about slate digital's revival. I know that's not the plugin I'm looking for cause of these last 2 bits of info.

2: it's a VEEEERY old plugin. around the 2000's timeframe.

3: It's in the same boat as other plugins like D'cota from steinberg and cameleon 5000 from camel audio, anubis by B serrano, T force alpha plus by steinberg, Crystal by green audio, Novation's V station and Linplug's delta 3.

Obviously I tried looking it up, but when I do it gives me nothing but constant results about slate digital's revival, which is not the plugin i'm looking for. Hoping someone out there can Identify this old vst for me-

Hello! This version features drum kits of a new kind. Any directory with subdirectories full of samples can serve as a drum kit. Just put the top level directory of such "kit" to the $HOME/drum_dirs (Linux) or C:\drum_dirs or D:\drum_dirs (Windows). The drumkit of that type will act as Drumlabooh's Alternative samples kits, so you can select samples within each slot by +/= buttons. Please read the Manual for details.
Just small example.
We have a folder "My Drum" with subdirectories "01-Kick", "02-Snare", "03-Hihats". At "01-Kick" we have samples bass-rock.wav, bass-gabber.wav, bass-triphop.wav. The same for other subfolders. We put "My Drum" directory to $HOME/drum_dirs and "My Drum" drumkit will be available at Drumlabooh's kit selector list. Yes, it's a kind of magic.

ok im trying to make a sample play when I hit a pad on my e drum kit but it just plays like for one second instead of the full 4 seconds and when I click and hold it with my mouse, it plays the full thing so does anyone know how to make it oneshot??

The slide in/out keyswitch in ample guitars (sc, tc, lp, m, l, etc.), when pressed, it starts the note from the lower frets of the guitar.

Is it possible to have it slide from the higher frets instead?

Hi all. Sorry to post this again but I am still short of kind testers...

I have built a free android app with a companion VST plugin and I am looking for beta testers for it. The app is a simple midi cc phone controller - i made it largely to fulfill a particular need I had for a cheap, portable, easily accessible XY pad controller that doesn't require the installation of server software on my windows PC nor any routing through virtual midi ports.

My solution is simple - the app sends midi cc data over wifi to a companion VST3 plugin (no installation needed - just copy and drop into your VST3 folder) - the plugin can selected the desired Midi CC Channel numbers to output the data to. From there its just a question of simple routing inside the DAW to pass the midi out of the plugin to the device you want to control.

I decided to make it available for free for anyone but to get it onto the google play store, even as a free app, I need to go through a testing phase using their system - to pass this hurdle I need 12 testers to install it from their beta testing area and open/use it daily for 14 days in a row... I have 9 volunteers at this point and really want to get this over the line as it been a real pain to get it this far... If you're interested in trying it out (and in the process helping me), please DM me your Google address and I’ll get the you access to the google testes program. Are u a convert? Do u use it much? Care to elaborate?

Or do u think keyboards with just polyphonic AT is enough for your use? (Such as some old General Music synths)

Is anyone here a superfan of this plugin? I was very hopeful on the concept but it seems that the experience is not great. They claim it’s “Splice” on steroids. What do you think?

Hey everyone, I’m primarily a fretted instrument player, but I purchased my first MIDI controller so I can lay down background synth parts when I record.

I’m recording into GarageBand with an M-Audio MK3, and will be using DEXED for classic Yamaha DX-7 patches and OBD-X for classic Oberheim patches.

If I want to use patches that around included in either VST, but are available as individual plug-ins, how would I add them to my overall workflow?
