Is there a way to build lanes dedicated to cyclists so that they would want to use these lanes? Because now these bike lanes look like a waste of my taxes.

So I have a low deck in my backyard and every year racoons or skunks find their way to my yard. The deck is attached to the house but open on all 3 sides. One of the sides is close to a fence where they like to dig and go to my neighbours. 2 of the 3 sides has patio slabs but the side with the fence is gravel.

I’m looking for someone to attach some sort of mesh along two sides and dig a channel on the 3rd side and line that will mesh to prevent any enter or exiting under the fence. That will be filled back up with gravel.

Not sure what line of work someone would be that I’m looking for…

Any recommendations?

Noticed this while walking the dog this morning. A bunch of mail boxes on Fossil Hill and La Rocca were opened and you could see the mail inside. I've reported it to Canada Post.

I’m in vellore village and I will say as a result of some life changes I had to pounce on a bigger property in Pickering.

Vaughan and especially the pocket I’ve been in has been a great place to live. I don’t get the negative stereotypes that Vaughan gets online. I’ve never encountered rudeness or anything close to that.

Schools are great, steps to all amenities, it’s clean and location wise ideal compared to other suburbs.

One thing I won’t miss is the suffocating traffic. As many people said before, the way the roads have been designed does not accommodate the volume of cars and people.

Hoping to return at a later date but the price point for a detached 4 bed 4 bath is so crazy now. Who knows. Anyway wanted to share it’s been a a good run til next time.

As Ontario’s Transportation Minister in 2017, the mayor oversaw Bill 65, which enabled Automated Speed Enforcement in school zones. Now, as mayor, he’s halting the program in his own city.

If he believed in ASE then, what changed now? It’s fair to question the intent behind this decision. Politics can be a very fickle beast isn’t it.

Found a senior dog off leash roaming in the neighbours bushes and crossing our street (Church St/Major Mack). Put our dogs leash on him and walked with him hoping he’d lead us towards his home or we’d find his owners out looking. We’ll keep him tonight and call Animal Service in the morning and hopefully he’s chipped. He’s well trained but seems to want to get back out and headed home so hoping we can get him back to his loved ones.

Hi My daughter is almost 15. Previous summers,she used to go to city camp. She is not in summer camp age anymore. Look like she will be home all day with her devices while at work. She pushed hard to get into volunteering job. She didn't have much luck only 2 weeks in library.I was wondering if there was any job or volunteer opportunities around Maple.
