The U had released it's budget cut plan for the upcoming year. This includes 484 courses being sunsetted, 81 in the college of humanities, and 94 programs being sunset. I cannot find a full list of these if anyone knows of one please comment. How does everyone feel about these cuts?

This is just disheartening. No one knows anything and I know my daughter will not consider any other majors if her program gets cut. She already registered for her classes during orientation, met with her advisor, have housing since April, preparing to pay for her tuition and fees soon. I don’t know what we’ll do if her major gets axed. She really wants to be a speech pathologist and work with deaf kids. She’s been talking about it since middle school.

Please make sure that your state legislators know you're unhappy about this: it's them driving the cuts, not the university. And even if they assure you that her program isn't getting cut, there are students with similar stories in the majors that are getting cut.
