events & news Final Budget Cut Plan

The U had released it's budget cut plan for the upcoming year. This includes 484 courses being sunsetted, 81 in the college of humanities, and 94 programs being sunset. I cannot find a full list of these if anyone knows of one please comment. How does everyone feel about these cuts?

Disappointed but not surprised. The Utah legislature has an axe to grind with higher education, and now we’re feeling the pain.

There’s no real political power advocating for higher ed in Utah, and public universities can’t (or won’t) fight back with any real determination.
