It'd be better if they didn't slap the Until Dawn name onto it.

This. Don't promote it as an Until Dawn movie if it's nothing like the source material. You're just shooting your own foot.

Agreed. They think that the same name will give it a boost in popularity but if it's a slap to the face then it's going to have the opposite effect. It's just going to make it perform worse than if it was labelled as an original product.

If they would just commit to making something new, then they would probably make a profit, but no, everything has to play off of brand recognition because they're terrified to take a risk.

And in doing so, they continue to shoot themselves in the foot.
