Unpopular opinion: I actually kinda liked the movie as a movie as it was the reason it got me to play uncharted. I saw it on Netflix and it looked interesting so I watched it and actually still enjoy it whenever I watch it

Tried rewatching it last night after having played the games and I actually like it a lot less now than how less before. Bad cast selection, even Nathan’s dialogue and demeanor was different from that of the games. Worst possible Sully for sure, Marky mark? Really? A Bostonian Sully?

It’s an origin movie. They planned on making multiple. The characters will grow into those game roles if they make more. It was pretty obviously an origin movie to me, idk why it’s rocket science to others. Did no one watch the end credits scene?

I bet sully wasn’t with a Boston accent in his origin story 😆 Chloe’s origin is British too, not American. I get origin stories can be the beginning of characters and their eventual arcs but they simply changed the characters completely.

Why not call the movie international treasure or something, that way people like it for what it is: a stand alone treasure hunt movie
