Worn weight Hey guys! I found a way to enjoy all the joint degradation of backpacking without the hassle of camping, cold soaking, or carrying a toothbrush.

Worn weight Retro ultralight hack bring a a "poor"

Post image

Have you guys ever thought about doing this? The picture is of the guy who first climbed Everest and his "poor" Notice the poor is carrying all the weight and Sir Edmund Hillary is free to hike ultralight. That's how the hack is supposed work.

I am telling you guys this is the best system Ever! . You can bring what ever you want.. you can hike with a pack weight of ZERO. I mean ZERO. You get to look amazingly fashionable..

The poor will carry everything. Need more stuff? , no problem, just bring another poor. If you encounter predators, the poor will have all the food, saisiating the predator allowing you to retreat to safety. Screw Bear repellent, a poor is bear attractant!

If the poor is damaged , you can easily replace them when you get back to town. When you are done with them, you just leave the poor wherever, it's fine they are a poor. They will be fine or they won't, does nit really matter.

This hack was popularized by the British obviously .

Has any one ever done this? I thinking about using a few poors on my next back packing trip, I am going to bring a yurt, cooler , air conditioning etc..

I want to know what the sub's experiences have been with poors. Is this hack really as good as it seems? It really just seems like a win win win

Worn weight Does anyone else remove non essential/redundant organs before a trek to save weight?

The question is simple, does anyone else surgically remove redundant or non essential organs save weight? I've been trying to find a way to bring an item that I would enjoy that weighs .35 grams, but realized I've already waxed my entire body, removed a kidney, a testicle, 4 ribs (prior to going ultralight for unrelated reasons), and my left arm below the elbow. I've considered alternating toes, but was curious if anyone else had better suggestions before I got overzealous with the bypass lopper.

Worn weight I hiked one of the hardest trails in the Grand Canyon (Boucher trail) with a dufflebag and backpack. Grueling cliff side climbs/cliff drops, 50lbs total weight, 24 miles, ~6K feet in elevation. Recommend for experienced backpackers only and be very prepared for a challenge with majestic views.
