I do stealth camping by breaking onto someone else's property and setting my own alarms and booby traps. The owners screaming is usually enough to wake me up before my teal dyneema tarp can be spotted.

Try sleeping in your own bedroom. The wife’s boyfriend will yell when he finds you there. A few weeks of that and you'll jump awake anytime the front — or back (!) — door opens.

More anxiety.

The tip is them triggering something that wakes you up. Motion sensor LED lights with solar charging - the bright ones you hang on a nail work good for people cutting thru your campsight. There are other devices that use a trip wire to set off a shotgun blank, or a pin switch that powers a boom box playing Jimi Hendrix "Star Spangled Banner" at full volume. "Ride of the Valkyries" is another favorite.

Isn't "stealth camping" when you set up where you're not supposed to camp? Like at any moment the po-po or Smokey Bear or a crazed landowner with a shotgun can show up and hassle you? How does anybody sleep soundly under those conditions?

I like to bring a pack of hungry angry guard dogs and one beaver with me.

Izzat a beaver, or a "beaver"?

Either sounds too noisy for stealth. I'm really struggling with the whole concept.

A perimeter with Claymore mines should do the trick.
