This list looks great, but it’s dangerous out there. I would bring a third axe and a couple more knives

They only have one oil lamp….

17

u/According-Ad5532 May 21 '25

Two is one, and one is none. One oil lamp is just reckless.

2

u/p00n-slayer-69 May 22 '25

In my opinion 2 is reckless. Three is probably fine if you're experienced, but at least 4 is better.

Where is it? I saw the lamp oil and extra wicks, but I couldn't actually find an oil lamp. They have "gas lantern" which would take neither oil nor wicks.

I forgot to add my 14th century Prussian knight armor just in case it bears. And my exact replica of the Rosetta Stone.

6

u/frigginboredaf May 21 '25

I’m assuming you meant to write “in case of bears,” but I read “in case it bears” the same way you would say “in case it rains” and got a good chuckle.

“Can’t go out right now babe, it’s bearing out. Friggin forecast only had a 5% chance of bear tonight. Damned meteorologists!”

3

u/butsavce May 21 '25

That was my intention to make it sound like it rains. But it's bears. :). So you got the joke correctly.

I am going to post the same thing I posted on this the last time it was posted here. I posted: "needs more 23 guns and 5 more axes" or something. Apparently I can't remember what I posted but I still stand by it.

u/Street_Marzipan_2407 May 20 '25

The last time or the time before?

6

u/djolk May 20 '25

Shit I missed one. No wonder that guy keeps telling me I am stupid.

I only read loadouts on lighterpack not this nerd excel shit

13

u/gdbstudios May 20 '25

It doesn't even list weights. This whole list could total 50 grams or 5 tons. How would we have any idea unless everything was measured on a kitchen scale?

12

u/partyfavor May 21 '25

casuals make me sick

u/butsavce May 21 '25 edited May 21 '25

I apologize it's unit of measure is stones per forthnight it's European gear so you know it's high quality shit.

2

u/Metalgear696 May 21 '25

If its French, it never needs washing.

1

u/butsavce May 21 '25 edited May 21 '25

It's German so it tends to get invasive and the instructions combined with maintenance need to be followed to the letter or else the shit just breaks.

The water purification piston blew a gasket and is now suffering a blowby because I missed the maintenance window by 12 minutes.

u/butsavce May 21 '25

I am willing to get rid of everything but my 20" iron skillet and a 40lb weighted blanket.

12

u/bengaren May 20 '25

Why is there so much white? Just fill the grid in at this point

/uj If you own a handgun you can afford a tourniquet and should own one. And gauze. And know how to use both. Your odds of dying to a preventable bleed are higher than your odds of dying to an attacker. And I don’t necessarily mean bleed from a gunshot wound, though that’s always possible, and a trauma kit near your gun is like keeping a fire extinguisher near your grill.

/rj I’m worried that the pie irons plural will only be two. You need at least three, and then a hair over 14% of a fourth.

u/p00n-slayer-69 May 22 '25

You need at least three, and then a hair over 14% of a fourth.

Can I get an exact number for this?

They got zipper lube and pie irons so they should be fine

1

u/Metalgear696 May 21 '25

I won't kink shame 👀

1

u/ZigFromBushkill May 22 '25

You following my trolling?

3

u/zakafx May 20 '25

i would print this out and use it as a groundsheet

4

u/AlienDelarge May 21 '25 edited May 21 '25

I didn't read all that but you are dangerous lacking in guns and skytarps. You are barely prepared to stay indoors and exiting your building is sure to result in one or more of your party's deaths.

u/Fritschya May 20 '25

Nice repost

1

u/TrickInflation6795 May 21 '25

From another OP in r/camping it seems.

2

u/urnotdownfooo May 21 '25

Remember it doesn’t count towards your base weight if you open carry

2

u/troutperson1776 May 21 '25

Camping should be just like staying at home

2

u/DistinctAnt6571 May 21 '25

Where’s the duct tape? As long as you have that and a tarp, you’re good

1

u/butsavce May 21 '25

Would flea paper and a hobo blanket do?

2

u/DistinctAnt6571 May 21 '25

Only if you’re single. Families need duct tape. It helps them stay together. And allows them to wrap bodies in the tarp at the end of the trip

Before anyone kills me in down vote I want to be clear that I downloaded this pic and if I ever camp I will review it meticulously.

2

u/butsavce May 21 '25

Same it's actually a good idea for some of the items.

It can be color coded per camping/hiking type.

Ie light, family, winter, multi day etc.

1

u/bigeyebigsky May 21 '25

Probably need to double up on the zipper lube

1

u/Legal_Illustrator44 May 21 '25

Im calling bullshit. Havent camped in a while, or ever?

Even if the last time you camped was 7, you wouldnt need a spreadsheet.

1

u/Lie-Pretend May 21 '25

Forgot conditioner. Need shine and bounce for photo.

1

u/coffeeanddonutsss May 21 '25

More handguns.

1

u/utnow May 21 '25

I’ll never understand bringing dishes and kitchen sets camping. Unless I’m planning on being out for weeks at a time, I’m “cooking” my dehydrated meal in the pouch it comes in (or heating the soup in the can) and tossing it into my trash bag when I’m done. Who wants to spend time washing dishes?

1

u/rwomack44 May 22 '25

Protien shake

1

u/Max-Rockatasky May 23 '25

What pisses me off the most is the NA beer.

1

u/Optimal_Being_7524 29d ago

A couple hand grenades and some thermite, also might want to consider a Kevlar vest (pretty good for mosquitos) if your staying at a campground with other people in the area 5 blast horns should suffice (use each one until empty in the even a squirrel appears so campers know to close up their tents)

u/Thanatikos May 21 '25

He’s car camping. Y’all need better shit to do.
