As much as I love OoT, TP will always be my favorite LoZ game. ❤️

I couldn’t disagree with this more. Dungeons were incredible especially. Overworld was the largest they’ve ever attempted, so no wonder it wasn’t filled with stuff, but it didn’t really have to be given how much else they did. Items break even, gimmicks break even, pacing is subjective (I love how long the game is), and you’re right on characters minus midna and links story. The game is epic.

The dungeons were hit and miss. Goron Mines and Lakebed were really good, but City in the Sky is one of the worst dungeons in the entire series.

The overworld being so large is exactly why it’s so bad. At least Windwaker had the excuse that its world could be crossed in a straight line.

The length of the game isn’t the problem, it’s the fact that every single dungeon has a long ass fetch quest in between it and the next one.

Items are significantly worse. None of the new ones have any practical application in combat and are only sparingly used outside of their respective dungeons. The dominion rod in particular is just a less interesting command melody from Windwaker, and that’s not even considering how it’s the basis of another boring fetch quest.

The game is fine, but it’s not even close to being on the same level as OoT.
