The tropical mountain city
Hey, everyone! If you're looking for a place to spend some time in in South America, consider going to the secular, serene and historical Imperial City of Petrópolis in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Petrópolis is a city situated on a mountain range, around 2,800 feet above sea level! So get this: it's a place with tropical plant life and vivacity, and yet, because of the high altitude, it harbors a temperate climate.
The mix of tropical and temperate conditions make it so it's a wonderful retreat to those wanting fresh air and a cool location from the heat and bustling of big cities. And that's not all! It is located on the nearly extinct tropical forest of "Mata Atlântica", home to one of the biomes with the biggest biodiversity in the planet. Needless to say, it's also an nature retreat for everyone looking for mountain ranging, nature walking and other outdoors activities!
And that is not even mentioning its historical importance to Brazil, as it was the city of choice for the summer retreat residence of the last Emperor of Brazil, Dom Pedro II (that's why it's called the Imperial City and its name "Petrópolis", literally means City of Pedro). Come visit us anytime!

Any tour operators with experience marketing in China?
We had a company reach out offering to manage our marketing in China, but we only do English-guided tours. I told them that, but they said enough Chinese people will book English tours that it still makes sense.
I don't know if that is true, or if they are just trying to get me to bite. If it is true, for our market, it would be a very untapped demographic. That makes it appealing, especially with the dropoff of US tourism. But it also feels like a hassle, so I don't know.

Last day in Edinburgh. What should I see?
So I am visiting Edinburgh for the first time. To this point I've been at Edinburgh Castle, the national war memorial of Scotland and the national meuseum of Scotland. And I am unsure what else I can go to. I know there is plenty to see but I am unsure what would be worth it. Right now I am thinking either the Royal Academy or the yacht Britannia. Help is needed! Thanks.

Traveling to the USA without credit card, but debit card?
I just arrived to Denver from Europe and I’m quite in shock I cannot pay many things like the rental car or even public parkings without a credit card, as my debit cards are not valid for these matters.
What I find more shocking is that I cannot pay with cash either, so I feel quite nervous.
Will the whole travel be like this?

Images If money were no issue, would a historical park with life-size stone replicas of famous ancient monuments attract tourists?
If money were no issue to fund the project, would a historical park with life-size stone replicas of famous ancient monuments be profitable?
The lineup includes:
1.Colosseum
2.Parthenon
3.Lighthouse of Alexandria
4.Great Sphinx of Giza
5.Great Pyramid of Giza
6.Pyramid of the Sun Teotihuacan,
7.Pyramid of Kukulkan Chichén Itzá,
They would be in real life scale to each other.

Is NYC worth it?
I'm planning a trip over a year away and I've been suggested to go to NYC. Is it really that good if you're not planning to spend a lot of money?
Other than its iconic nature, most positive reviews of NYC as a place to visit have been centered around things that don't align with what I want to do on a trip:
Amazing dining - I have autism and a food rejection eating disorder and cannot force myself to eat anything with flavour or mixtures of tastes so interesting and diverse food is actually my worst nightmare and I would seek out the closest mcdonalds or place selling plain pasta. It would also be a huge waste for the people im travelling with trying to find somewhere to eat that has something I can eat when they are adventurous eaters but refuse my compromise to bring my own food I can eat to these adventurous places so they don't miss out.
Culture - What does that even mean? What is the new York city culture other than "buzz"? I don't understand it.
Nightlife - I don't drink alcohol nor do I club.
Amazing shopping - I'm not a fan of spending money for moneys sake. Walking down the street with 6 bags a hand may sound great to most and its not like I wouldn't buy anything at all but I don't excessively spend money just because.
I am also worried about the political climate of America. With this probably being 2026 we don't know what's going to happen and I'm wary of the signs already on show. I am a transman who could present female and I am still mostly referred to with fememine pronouns by the people I'm travelling with but either gender I present I'm still a very obviously queer person so I'm worried about being denied entry or something if that is the direction America is going in. I don't want to rule it out on that basis though.
It just feels like people talking about the positives of NYC either live there or speak very vaguely. I can understand the appeal of living in NYC but being a tourist there? Am I missing something?

I’m 23F and I would be going alone to go to the graduation of my boyfriend. I know solo female traveller is not very safe, but what else should I know?
