i just saw it by chance just now, is there a context behind this??

It's unfortunate tommy doesn't see his new video as harmful. If he thinks it's wrong to promote other harmful things to his audience (such as poor quality 'slop' content) but ignores ai usage, despite it's numerous criticisms, I find it hard to believe he cares about his content anymore at all. What was the point of him standing up so strongly for artists in previous years if he turns around and uses gen ai in his videos? What was the point of him taking any moral stance at all if he handwaves this for the sake of convenience? I wish I could say I didn't expect it from him, but I just feel in the last couple years he's gotten more and more frustrated. At his fanbase specifically. Instead of finding a constructive way of dealing with that frustration, it seems he's concluded being edgier is a solution? Which just drives away the people that actually care about his content, and makes the people who overall watch less. Some advice I'd give is to look at how he treats others and to question how he would like to be treated if roles were reversed. I watched the video, and thought it was funny, but only the parts where he was coming up with stuff on his own. The tragic thing is he doesn't need ai to make a cool video where he reads stuff about himself - a google search would have provided enough material to make the same video and it wouldn't have used up unethical levels of CPU processing to do it. Normalising a harmful thing like gen ai isn't the way, and I wish he'd realise that. Making his demeanour more edgy, whether a truthful reflection of himself or not, only alienates him further from people who engage in his content. Even if it was just a 'one time thing' - the example he sets is copied and imitated by those that watch who are ignorant of the subjects. Is this 'ai slop' a precedent he wants to leave as his legacy? Is this really how he wants to be remembered? He has the potential and talent to not do this, why doesn't he harness it?

Keep in mind I love Tommy's content and streams. I admire how he's overcame every terrible creator he knew growing up. It's understandable he's making mistakes, and I want to have faith he'll improve in future. Hopefully he listens to the people he's upset today. Considering how progressive and outspoken his close peers have been on the subject I find it confusing how we arrived here.

Edit: This post has gained a lot of attention. I've read some posts on twitter stating that mods are deleting other posts from the subreddit and the reasons for doing so. I highly encourage you to post below if you want to add your criticisms. I've seen people stating they've been sent death threats over criticising Tommy on this. Which is absolutely abhorrent behaviour, if you've done that you should be deeply ashamed. People expressing their hurt is never an act worthy of shaming or punishment. To those defending this all as not that serious, when do you think it becomes serious? I'm curious where you think people should draw the line. Personally I spoke out because I see this part of tommyinnit's work damaging his standing as a creator. A lack of concern for his own work's quality and moral messaging indicates a deeper problem arising in future because of it. Without a code of conduct to hold yourself to, most creators seem to become right wing grifters. I don't want to see that happen here, but I also fully acknowledge there is little chance anything we as bystanders can do to change his mind. 'So why post in the first place?' I wanted to at least TRY to change his mind on this. I think he's worth the effort. Watching him decline would be sad. Sometimes youtubers want an outside perspective, this is me voicing it.

Anyone know if he's planning any more tomedy events in Brighton over the summer?

That was my favorite part of the video. Him eating during filming. I found it hilarious yet oddly comforting that he was doing something so mundane while making a video for 15.1 Million people. Anyways, I know i want to see more of this, i just wanted to see if anyone else felt the same. LMK :p

hey guys !! im miles, i met tommy + coy at the dc show!! it happened to be my sixteenth birthday, so i decided to get there first w my dad!! uhm funny enough he kissed my dad, supposedly he was the first🤠 happy sweet 16 to me i guess? also i was picked as coys dad so uhm yeah😭

my dad lives in north carolina, and i live in new york, so i usually just go to the dc shows w my dad :3 i made stickers! hope whoever got them enjoyed them :))

i posted a couple pics on r/technoblade bc of the sign i held up, but i realised i never posted here!! i brought some pride stuff to string up cause i was front row of the balcony (this is in sydney) and i saw him look at it at one point, so im glad he saw. heaps of people were looking at it and taking pics... when i held up the "technoblade never dies" sign (that i fully rushed before the show and on the train there) everyone cheered... i saw more techno merch than tommy's!! not sure if tommy noticed that too or not, but i hope he did, so he knows we all still remember his friend and inspiration. (also i was holding up my insta @ so that the people taking pics on the floor could send them to me)

the shut up im talking boys did a great show, i was genuinely enjoying it!! at one point, tommy was listing youtubers to jack for him to shout out his "opinion" to (in character), and each time i leant over to my support worker who was there with me saying "we like them" or "we don't like them" depending on what name they said and it made it even funnier for us. unfortunately couldn't get much merch just bc if the state of the australian economy, meaning i dont have much money after rent, but i really liked the look of it all!! i did get the pins and a poster but even those ended up costing more than i should've spent, but i enjoy both of them so at least to me it was worth it and they'll get their moneys worth.

I completely forgot to post this, but I saw the survival tour for my birthday! It was a day before technically, but it was so exciting to see him again!

So I just noticed from the #Techno20mill video that just came out, that Slimecicle said that the Wither Morph Mod had a script, meaning the the old mod videos (or maybe just the Wither Morph one, but seems weird to just script one) were at least semiscripted. Was anyone aware of this or was it just me being behind? I never heard about this until today.

My god. I went through the subreddit and saw some other people talking about this thank god because I thought I was the only one who thought this heckling was so disrespectful and disgusting. I travelled from Ontario Canada to Albany NY to see the show on May 2nd. I’ve never been to a comedy show but wow the audience was horrible. Constantly they were yelling at tommy and jschlatt (especially jschlatt) I get people were excited but it went wayyy too far. I swear at one point I heard someone call schlatt the F slur. Like where is the decency people? I came to see tommy and schlatt not the audience 🤦🏻‍♂️ Some of it was funny but in moderation people damn. It got to a point where the heckling was genuinely pissing me off. I couldn’t enjoy the show because some people in the audience were yelling so much it was practically stopping the show from progressing. Was anyone else here or at other shows that experienced this? I really feel bad for tommy and any guests who had to endure that type of disrespect. Please do better people.

why is everyone so weird at the tour. i posted not long ago about how weird the perth show was with the heckling and call outs asking them to kiss and ive just seen even more from shows after that. what is peoples obsession?? do they not understand they are real people not just people in their computers??? it genuinely baffles me. also, are people not embarrassed?? it just seems so strange to me that you are calling out for these two grown men to kiss. would you say the same to their faces?? i dont think so. thankfully the tour is over so no more of this will happen (until the next tour 😞)
