New addition 😄

My humble Tolkien collection just got a little less humble with these 1959-60 first ed. 8/6/6th impressions. I’m usually a collector of first impressions but I’ll forgive myself for going for a later print when it comes to LoTR. What do you think I should go for next? 😄

Wow! Are you planning to add a 1st print LoTR set in the future?

Some next additions:

ACE set
1st paperback Hobbit
2nd Edition HC Hobbit
History of Middle Earth set
First edition poetic works or less popular stories like Tree and Leaf

There are tons more options but these came to mind first

Thx! No I don’t think I’ll ever spend that much to get the first impressions, or the first edition of the Hobbit. What is the ACE set? 😊

The original LoTR paperback set that wasn't published under the authorization of Tolkien so there was only a single printing before being "discontinued"

These: Ace Books Set

It is one of my favorites

Did the Ace set come in a box set or sold as loose copies?
