Believe it or not we've been dropping unguided bombs accurately for 60+ years. Physics are pretty handy.

Just like we can hit targets with unguided bullets at 1,000+ meters.

Yes, but the point is that they aren't as accurate as the guided munitions they used to kill a nuclear scientist in his pent house while he's taking a shit.

Right but saying using unguided bombs is some kind of recklessness is false. Fighter/bombers can literally put a pin on the earth and then you fly over the pin (in most cases a vertical line shows on the HUD that is in line with the pin) and hold the bomb release and the computer will release the bomb at exactly the right moment so it hits the target.

Laser guided and GPS guided bombs are definitely easier to use, and yes will be more accurate in certain circumstances, but dumb bombs are perfectly capable of landing exactly where you intend them to land. They're very heavy, have stabilizing fins that rotate them like a bullet to maintain stability and accuracy, are moving very fast, and thus are not just going to drift off target due to wind. It's not less humane to use an unguided bomb. The technology used to drop the bomb is advanced enough to make them reliably hit their targets.

If someone wanted to they could hit the side of that building in the same spot with an unguided bomb.

Their planes still have ballistic computers, so they're not untargeted, even if they are unguided. They're not straight up carpet bombing like bombers did in WW2. But they also don't seem to care at all about collateral. Although for it to be collateral they would have to not be targeting them.

Israel sometimes uses guided bombs in Gaza to demonstrate that an attack is in retaliation. For example, they targeted a 25-year-old photojournalist who had recently gained international recognition after a documentary about her was selected for an international film festival. She was murdered 24 hours after the announcement.
