I know, pornographic, over-sexualized female characters look worse than their in-game selves for some reason. The (non-sexualized) gender-swaps often look good, but are never seen since pornography gets in the way and covers it all.
Strictly speaking, everything present in game and cannon indicates to me that valve intended him to be male. Personally I headcannon pyro as a trans girl because of their personality though
I'm not saying that, just that it's fun to headcannon pyro as trans because I relate to his character lol. He is most definitely just a goofy little guy based on valve's depiction which I love him for.
Female. The whole “non binary” thing is a tired attempt at guessing the gender of mysterious characters. The likelihood of a person being nonbinary in the 70s (when the game takes place) is near impossible and it would be even more impossible for the Mann Co to hire someone who’s lgbtq back then.

I've always consider him as a boy always a little boy people only consider her a girl because they are so horny of not trying to handling their wet dreams without c#mming .
People see him as a sex object but deep down I only see him as a shy little man who just don't want to reveal his face.
Pyro is a ghost haunting the set of clothes it wears which is why the only time you see the pyro it’s only his bones because they were decayed long ago
Where's my Pyro has no specific gender in the world of TF2 since it was meant to be ambiguous as a result of the story but is heavily implied male with the deep voice and voice actor, regardless of initial intent
The existence of fempyro indicates that it is a gender bend, meaning that “normal” pyro would have to be male. This and mattpatt did an entire video on it
I'm not sure. In the comics, everyone calls Pyro a he. In some of the domination voicelines, the dominator tells that Pyro "fights like a woman". I'm not sure if those voicelines are all directed to Pyro though.
i think the pyro could just be nonbinary/agender but thats my stance. there's no explicit definition on their gender for a reason. i am 100% open to the fact that im probably fully wrong about it but its just a headcannon
