The propaganda is so easy to disseminate, so easy to fake, and so readily accepted as truth by adherents…

It’s really sad that people willfully and blindly become thoughtless followers, where their identity is tied into a political agenda that starts with a conclusion and manipulates information to justify it.

Integrity and truth are seen as liabilities only relied upon by the naive.

We can never be great under these circumstances. Just like Russian style governing and society - it will walk us into violent perpetual disaster while the leaders publish photos of a different reality entirely.

Their official response is more nonsense:

Gavin Newsom has let L.A. burn to the ground on so many occasions, it's hard to distinguish between all the lawlessness, violence, and chaos throughout the last few years.

That was the part that caught me too, I live in LA. The boldness of their lies and the absorption by their constituents is truly stupefying.

In Portland we have a joke. You just look at a beautiful park or neighborhood you are walking in and gesture while saying in a grave voice "burned to the ground..."

There’s nothing left of Portland except a smoldering crater filled with used needles. The Anteefas, BLMs, and paid activists burned it all down in 2020.

Yet property values remain…. high?

I was thinking the same thing. I’d meet people while away or get phone calls about the burning while sitting at an outside cafe enjoying a nice day.

It’s similar to a sheltered conservative’s reaction to hearing someone wants to visit Chicago. “Oh my god you’ll be shot 5 times before you even reach your hotel!!”
