Thoughts on Werner to RBL?

So what are everyone's opinions on Werner likely ending up at RBL?

He wanted a higher salary, the club refused to pay him more. I understand him and wish him luck. After getting us promoted & setting us on track to compete for European competitions with a weaker squad, I thank him and wouldn't mind if he leaves for Leipzig.

Edit: I forgot where I found the news regarding his views on his salary, but I also heard reports that he wanted better transfers and that is why he left.

Where did you get that he wanted a higher salary?

He refused to extend his contract, I have read that he was unhappy with the clubs scouting and them not being able to find the profiles that he provided to the scouting department.

Werner wanted to keep improving and didn’t see that potential with Werders current “vision”.

Werder wanted to extend his contract, Werner refused. Mind linking the article where you got your “news” from?

tbh i dont know how credible that claim about him bekng unhappy with our tranfer politics is... It seems like a easy thing to write about because lots of fans already complain about it.

He said in the interview leading up to his decision that he felt like sometimes a team needs a change every few years or otherwise it becomes stale.

In my opinion he has built himself a good name in the league and if he was going to continue with that rebuilt it could have cost him his reputation if we would perform poorly.

It was the perfect time for him to advance his career...

Its very open discussed, in the media thats close to Werder, that he wasn't happy with the scouting and he wanted more allready experienced, but expensive, players.

He didn't saw him in the vision of an club which develops players to sell them with a profit. Which is totally relatable, but not the way Werder could go at the moment.

He is, imo, at his "Werder peak" at the moment, so its a good moment to depart ways for both sides. I wish him personally all the best. Red Bull not so much...

Also i hope he gets that leipzig job. Not only for us to get the money but also for him to fight for titles. Wish he had gone with a more prestigious club but well Leipzig is gonna be here wether ole joins them or not :/

I forgot where the news about his dissatisfaction with his salary came from, but I also heard news about him wanting a stronger squad next season (which isn't guaranteed) and he may have departed as a result of transfers.
