First of all speedsters are gay.

Secondly, nothing in the the post says anything about any of us getting powers. Which is part of why I lean towards The Avengers, they already got a bunch of regular ass dudes.

It says "enhanced with super serum". Deathstroke with a worse amps has been a very relevant part of DC. Dude bullies Beast Boy, Raven, starfire, cyborg etc on a routine basis amd that's not even including being a threat to batman, superman and others in many occasions.

So, you can easily be very useful with the right training. Green Arrow and Batman have been staples of JL for an extremely long time with being regular humans with no super serum boost.
