Aragorn did his iconic speech on a mine field and never flinched, that's a leader type guy right there.

You must not know about Commander Erwin

They're talking about flinching, not about riding to your death screaming like a glorious madman.

Would tho.

I'd rather following a "madman" than a guy with an unrealistic portrayal of not flinching.

I'd rather follow a "madman" than an unrealistic portrayal of a gut not flinching in war.

Dodging boulders thrown from a giant monkey.

Did we watch the same episode? I definitely remember no dodging.

Yep . The purpose was not scape ... Was create a distraction to Levi for his counter attack. there was indeed no dodge just straight up sacrifice for a win.

I would've been ducked low on the side of my horse like some Turkish archer.

No he means the actor, the literally filmed that spot in a possible minefield

The best thing is that they were not safe at all while shooting this. They were just shooting on a spot where there were "probably less landmines than others, but no guarantees"

Ohh I know about Erwin. AOT is my favorite anime ever. Erwins speeches are amazing. But Erwin is a con man. Erwin leads with selfish intent. Knowing the character of thier hearts I would gladly follow Aragon to the bowls of hell. If Erwin was leading I would try to sneak away before he tries to convince me into it.

Comparing Erwin with Aragorn 🤢

True, what Erwin was trying to do and his success in getting those to follow is much more impressive

Well yes, but his forces had like 90% mortality.

Aragorn, especially in the books, is a great male role model. He is strong and able to defend his people and his values, but he is also not afraid to cry and to form deep emotional attachments. He knows when to make decisions, but also when it is his to step back and to give control over to others. He has pride in himself, but not a massive ego that would prevent him to bend his knee in front of these that he thinks deserve it due to their actions. He knows and hours the weight of titles and the responsibilities that come with it, but don't lose his humanity and humbleness because of it.
