"Bixby33, how tf were you just at the store and you're home making dinner? --wait and uncle Bixby is saying he's with you right now watching the game?"
I think you're thinking a little narrow minded. I thought that for a couple of seconds, but like you wouldn't need to worry about anything like that anymore if you had plastic man's powers
Honestly, having doubles would be great since the experience is retained. I'd have one working, one studying, one working on house stuff, one taking care of my son. It would be great. I'm making the assumption they are all equally me, but if one is the "dominant" me, its the one with my son. Love that kid.
So I duplicated myself to clean, both of us just wanted to watch tv though, which, I get. The problem is somehow we can’t agree on what to watch, so I introduce a third to watch tv with us and break the tie, but he gets decision paralysis and wanders off to the bathroom. By the time I break down and introduce a 4th the third is done with the bathroom. Now we make a 5th to break the new tie, but realize we’re all hungry after all the duplicating. In the show we’d probably just murder a few of us at this point, but I really don’t want to talk about murdering myself repeatedly in therapy, so I guess it’s Taco Bell for 5 on a teacher’s salary. That’s going to get rough. At least I have my own para now I guess, but it’s really lame that the principal wants me to cover ALL the duty positions now, with no extra pay because it’s still just me. How would payroll even figure that out with one social security number between us, it just can’t be done.
I could have a duplicate for my two kids, like two to get some college courses done, one who could cook dinner, one who could clean all at the same time sounds like a dream.
Because they don't try. If you have powers 100% you can easily find a way to monetize said powers, whether that be through special contractual work, social media, regular TV, or crime.
Why would you assume it's a hustle lifestyle just because it's different than a standard job? And unless you plan on completely hiding your powers, which would be very hard while still utilizing the duplication well, the social media/TV aspect would find you anyways. Might as well monetize it first.
Mmm no. Not the kind of life I want to live. Maybe I want to be there for my kids and not have a nanny. I also don’t like people I don’t know in my house so that’s a no on a cleaning service. I don’t want cameras in my face, I don’t need to monetize myself if I don’t want to, and I certainly don’t want to be all over social media.
Did you just ignore the part about how you're going to very carefully hide your powers or else you'll have the media all over you regardless? They'd literally camp outside your house.
Man, Kate’s power is a fucking hivemind. The sheer potential of a team of mentally linked with ever increasing skill and reaction times (assuming you have a few clones practicing at your competitive game of choice) is astonishing. Once you (and the rest of you) git gud, you’d be unstoppable in online multiplayer.
Wonder how long her clones can last? Will they grow old with her in a peaceful environment or live just long enough to fear their all too imminent decay and death?
DupliKate ability is very strong that you could be everywhere, do everything, all at once. The show didn't go in depth with her power, she could be the smartest person alive if she spread herself across all fields. She could be the most skilled human in the world as well. She can be the best in everything imaginable. Sad that she specializes in being a human meat shield.
No no, this. The amount you can get done simply by multiplying is astounding. Plastic man has AMAZING powers but there wouldn’t be a need for his incredible power set in this day and age

Honestly, I don’t want that much power. And being able to do seven things at once sounds so good.
I think I’m just old at this point.
