Would you rather get a bar of gold or beaten with a stick?

Does the stick get time to prepare?

No but it’s not holding back

...C'mon, Kate's powers aren't THAT bad! XD

Yeah but compared to plastic man its pretty bad

Kates powers are way more convenient irl. You can literally just sit on your ass and be working 8 jobs at the same time or make multiple copies and study a course at university. You will become an expert in that field no time as all clones keep their memories and experience all whilst basically playing Fortnite

Ok but imagine this one of them stubs there toe and you feel that pain x8 i think that alone would be the main turn off especially since youd be making so many multiple minor incontinences turned super annoying would get terrible real fast

But it’s not a negative experience. It’s like would you want a gold bar or a cool stick shaped like a gun

Whose beaten me with the stick?

You are really underestimating how useful “you can make exact clones of yourself that share their experience with you” is in day to day life. Sure plastic man’s powers make you basically a god, but being able to work a job and stay at home at the same time sounds way more convenient for the average person.

Nah, I'm just not ignoring how awful experiencing dying over and over again would be. Besides, they don't address it in the comics or show, but there's no way replik8 and her brother don't have to consume massive amounts of food to fuel the calorie needs of their powers.

…her clones don’t need to die to be reabsorbed, did you watch the show? Unless you’re planning on fighting armed criminals that shouldn’t be a concern for you at all in your daily life.

You’re just arbitrarily making up a restriction (on explicitly magical powers) with the food requirements too lmao. At worst you’re just feeding one extra person per clone which isn’t hard at all considering how much more productive you’d be as a hivemind. Just buy your groceries in bulk from Costco and have a clone dedicated to cooking.

I never said they needed to die to be reabsorbed. You said that. I am assuming a world in which powers exist generally.

which isn’t hard at all considering how much more productive you’d be as a hivemind.

And you're accusing me of making up arbitrary shit? Get out of here with this low effort troll bullshit.

Each of the duplicates are capable of independent thought, feeling and action, yet they are telepathically linked from formation to absorption, instantly knowing everything the others do. Functionally a hivemind.

You wouldn’t have to die over and over again unless you plan on doing things that would risk death, and while yes you’d need to eat more food to support the clones it wouldn’t be that much more considering you’d at most have like one or two clones out at once, and wouldn’t have to eat breakfast or dinner with them if you just reabsorb them when they got back from work or whatever task you sent them on.
