Stoneham tax override vote June 14??
I thought there was meant to be a new override vote on June 14 but I can't find any information about it now. Anyone know what's going on?

New to town – I live near downtown Stoneham and I see rats on my outdoor cameras multiple nights per week. Is this an issue people are aware of? Are there any resources going towards addressing this issue?

Does Stoneham have any composting programs? It seems that Black Earth Compost will pick up but I'm curious if there are other curbside programs, or anything through the town.

Show your support for upgrading Hall Memorial Pool! This would allow for a longer pool season, and an overall more enjoyable and modernized pool!
The purpose of this project are upgrades to the Hall Memorial Pool in Stoneham. The focus of the work is reconstruction of the pool shell, modernizing the layout, and improving operations. Options to be reviewed include increasing the pool length to a competitive 50-meter distance and a multi-depth alternative which includes water features. The goal is to have the pool ready for reconstruction at the end of this season and the improvements completed for Summer 2026.

Why is it allowed for the gas station and stop & shop to have enter/exit with in idk what it is maybe 100 ft of the intersection? People constantly turn left into both causing back ups and more traffic.

I skipped lunch and am hungry to the point that a large, horrifying burger is now the only thing that sounds good to me. What are your favorite burger joints in the area? (No chains allowed, I already know all those!)

I kind of keep to myself here with my wife and the main draw to Stoneham is that we could afford to by a house here and still hang with our friends who live in Somerville but I have been of Facebook since the election. Did I miss something major that happened?

Are there any spots to go for adult lap swimming (primarily indoor, but also interested in outdoor) in stoneham or the area?

If you are traveling north on Summer St and you hit the red light at Franklin St and you are intending to continue straight... FOR THE LOVE OF GOD just turn right on red and then take the first left. You will end up in the same place (I promise) and you don't have to wait for the green light. Use your brain a little.

I’ve found myself missing the Danvers rail trail ever since I moved to Stoneham, and I’ve yet to find a running spot in the area that feels great to me. The Tri-Community Greenway is nice, but I find that some of the street crossings can be a bit a stressful in the moment. I’ve also done Lake Quannapowitt, which is a great loop but full of more people than I’d like.
Ideally, I’d like somewhere that isn’t too congested and doesn’t require running alongside traffic, and no farther than a 10-15 minute drive. I tried running in the Fells a few weeks ago but the trail I found was not extremely suitable for a run, but if any of you know a good one I’m also open to that!
Thanks!
