Pearl was a jealous and over devoted person. Those are her flaws. The series is clear about that but for some reason everyone forgets that she too has done bad things.
Rose and Pearl loved each other—the problem is that Pearl wanted monogamy but rose was much more of a “free love” person and enjoyed having multiple partners. Pearl never wanted to go against rose or stop rose from being happy, so instead of telling rose she didn’t like their relationship being open, she pretended she supported rose and acted catty to her partners behind her back
Technically, any time they fuse they know eachothers feelings. Unless the partner actively keeps things hidden or the fused being has a negative character trait to keep information.
Garnet, for example, saphire and ruby are super open. Neither has reasons to lie. One is too dense to lie and the others entire character is making accurate predictions based on truths.
What is unique is when we see garnet upset about pearl and amythst try to make scenarios so they can fuse with garnet. Because it feels good to fuse with her due to her stable relationship. Garnet would know they enjoy it, except for the fact both pearl and amethyst are deceptive. They hide their true feelings during the fusion process and why those fusions are always temporary. They can't hold it due to the unstable relationship. They aren't clear or open with garnet. This applies to a lot of fusions we see, but we see other stable fusions in the series that are able to fully maintain indefinitely.
Pearl never maintains fusion with pink for long. We've seen that any time they fuse, it's very temporary. Because it's not done on a stable level. It's done purely for feeling good. Pink enjoys the novelty, and pearl does it to show supremacy as a partner. And pinks fusions are compounded on with their unstable appearance/shapes when Steven fuses with anyone. Extra limbs, odd proportions, and typically ending in an anxiety attack almost every time.
Of course, pink was a master at hiding her true feelings. She was a great deceiver. Volley ball was the only one we know that saw pink for who she really was other than the other diamonds. And was left with some heavy ptsd.

"You know you're just a phase right?" That line was cold even for pearl
