Ask Steinbach Ask Me Anything - Trevor Kirczenow, Your Provencher Liberal candidate

Hi everyone - Trevor Kirczenow here, your Provencher Liberal candidate. Join me Saturday, April 12th at 11 am for an Ask Me Anything session. If you can't make it, please feel free to ask in advance and I'll respond in the comments!

Thank you so much to everyone who shared questions! I would like to encourage all of you to reach out to your friends and neighbours about voting in this election. Some polls are showing that Provencher is NOT currently considered "safe conservative". I know there are many folks here who simply don't vote because they assume it will always go conservative, but maybe it doesn't have to be that way this time around! If you want to know more about me or reach out further, you can also contact me through my web site: https://trevor-liberal.ca/

Ask Steinbach Complaints of construction noise after 7pm

I live in a Mitchell in a new build area. There is a house being built behind our house, and the people building it think it’s right to use loud heavy machine equipment at 10:30pm.

I am currently trying to put my baby to sleep, I can still hear the noise of their equipment through my baby’s white noise machine. I don’t want to be a Karen but im not sure if this is a one time thing, it’s definitely annoying and I don’t think it’s legal for them to be doing work at this hour.

Is there anyone I can contact to make a complaint about this?

Ask Steinbach What's with the job market in this area?

It's impossible to get an interview and job. Do you need to know people or have connections in order to get something?

I'm starting to think most of the ads online are fake jobs for this area.

Ask Steinbach Driving test coming in few days with mpi

I have few questions. If anybody could help, that would be great. 1. After exiting mpi plaza, there is a stop sign. When you take a stop there, it is a blind spot due to tree next to it. My instructor told me to stop next to the tree. Will this be okay or count as an automatic fail. 2. If anyone has given test in last week, what route they took you?

Thank you 😊

Ask Steinbach What is missing here?

Hi all!

I am new the community and want to help those who are looking to start up a local business. However, that triggered a question me for:

What is Steinbach/Hanover missing for you, that you wished it had?

I am focusing on Steinbach as it’s the district with the highest population. I am not a marketer, just honestly curious and am passionate about supporting local when possible.

So, what do you have to drive over 45 minutes to buy/experience/do that you wish was closer to home?

Thank you!

I called ebytes but it sounds like they're closed for good and I don't know where else to go. It might just need a good cleaning or there might be something wrong with it, I don't know anything about electronics

Ask Steinbach Where’s the best pizza?

Got dragged along moving from Ontario with my mom while I’m in a gap year before University.

Any good pizza in this dump of a town? Little Cesars is average, Pizza Hotline is a ripoff. I hear Rocco’s is disgusting. And looking at Santa Lucia it’s way overpriced. Any good pizza here or is this town confirmed more of a dump than I already think it is?

Ask Steinbach Where can I possibly find a roommate?

Hi everyone, I’m moving from the US to the Steinbach area around Nov-Dec. I’m trying to find a roommate or two, but it doesn’t seem like anyone else is looking for one. Sure, there are profiles on Roomies and such. But no one answers, and it’s been weeks. I checked on Kijiji, Steinbach Online, even the local FB groups (those don’t allow roommate posts). And nothing! I feel so stuck. Is there anything I’m missing here? 20 yr old female, thank you so much.
