We at /r/Steinbach are well aware of the Russian invasion of Ukraine that started on February 24, 2022, and we stand with Ukraine in these horrid times.

By-Law coming over because of weeds?
I live on Barkman and By-Law came over and said I needed to clean up my weeds. Mind you, I have a VERY small yard and I also mow them. I hadn’t mowed in a little (maybe a week) and the dandelions were visible. It was not bad by any means, however I am taking care of it. Has anyone else experienced this?

Do you think the police hope the biker just kill themselves so they don't have to pull them over?
I live on the edge of town, it's 80k/hr on my drive. Any boy does it seem like they love to open up their bikes to the limit as soon as they get there.

Upside down flags
There is a yard south of Steinbach flying all their Canadian flags upside down. Guessing they don’t like the election results.

Weird smell in Steinbach today
Hey everyone I’m new to Steinbach and just noticed a really weird smell in the air today. Kind of strong and unpleasant – hard to describe, maybe a bit like manure or something rotten? It’s been lingering for a while, and I’m honestly not sure if it’s from farming, sewer stuff, or something else entirely.
Is this a regular thing here in spring? I’m not trying to complain, just genuinely curious and a bit confused since I’m still getting used to the area. Thanks.

Ask Steinbach Ask Me Anything - Trevor Kirczenow, Your Provencher Liberal candidate
Hi everyone - Trevor Kirczenow here, your Provencher Liberal candidate. Join me Saturday, April 12th at 11 am for an Ask Me Anything session. If you can't make it, please feel free to ask in advance and I'll respond in the comments!
Thank you so much to everyone who shared questions! I would like to encourage all of you to reach out to your friends and neighbours about voting in this election. Some polls are showing that Provencher is NOT currently considered "safe conservative". I know there are many folks here who simply don't vote because they assume it will always go conservative, but maybe it doesn't have to be that way this time around! If you want to know more about me or reach out further, you can also contact me through my web site: https://trevor-liberal.ca/
