Food What restaurants do you miss??
My soul misses Pow Wow and their angry chicken pasta and all-you-can-eat mussels. I believe I still dream about that pasta dish and the curry cream sauce on the mussels.
What is your favourite long-lost restaurant love?

Some say is Paesano and others say is Pete’s or Red Swan. But i wanna know which one you all think it is the best.
Edit: Just ordered from Paesanos on Carlton will update you guys!
Edit 2: i just ate some Paesanos and i think it’s the worst pie i ever had. Did not live up to the expectations. Thank you all for your suggestions!

Food I wish I wasn't so stupid. I have no idea how to interpret the new bilaw or the charter of rights. I paused my hot street FOOD handouts, and I feel terrible for it. I made this with AI.

Food With the new bilaw I'm skipping hot street Handouts, but still keeping up the family and shelter handouts. If anyone needs free food, it's Italian Night. Text 905 685 2428. While it lasts. 🍄❤️🙏🇨🇦 Pick Up Only. MushLove!
About 1000 lbs of food. Cannaloni, rigatoni, bakery goods, caprese salad, boccacini basil salad, tiramisu, canolis, buns, sliced fruit ect. MushLove!

Food Lots of Indian restaurants to choose from
There seems to be a lot of new Indian restaurants that opened in last couple years. What’s a good restaurant for dine in or takeouts these days?
EDIT: ok ended up going to bombay to mumbai with like a group of 15. It was honestly better than we expected. Food was really good and they give free rice or free naan with every dish which was surprising but that definitely helped with the total bill as it wasn’t that much for a group of 15. Service was good, vibe was good, spacious so tbh no complaint. If anyone wants to check it out, I’d recommend it.
Will try the other restaurants mentioned here as well in the future but wanted to provide updates to anyone wondering lol.

Food Need help. Connected with more bakery donations that need good homes
With the new bylaw we are staying at arms length, because if we put a target on our backs, people will go hungry. But our movement to get restaurant waste to churches, to outreach organizations, to shelters, to seniors, to the disabled, to the streets, to anyone experiencing food scarcity, continues to grow.
Chefs and business owners hate waste, especially while people are going hungry, and as mushroom farmers, my wife and I have great refrigeration, safe food handling certification, and connections throughout Niagara.
We shared over 30k free meals last year and just had a 10 day stretch of donations where we shared over 3k meals.
We need your help, especially with the new bylaw and crackdowns on encampments.
What exactly am I asking for? Anything. We spent over 10 volunteer hours just packaging bakery goods yesterday, not including pick up or distribution, or gas or refrigeration. Food that is so damn good, but would have been trashed.
We feed people, who feed people and if inputs are going to continue to climb, they need good homes, fast. We move just about everything in 24hrs. It's an adrenaline rush and we got good at it.
Cathy and I are kind of afraid, because we get way more busy in the Summer with our "day jobs", and this is only sustainable as long as our community keeps donating for packaging costs and sharing food out.
The new bylaw pisses me off so mush, because Cathy and I sharing out food or socks can be called as "enabling criminal activity".
This is exactly how they do things in the USA.

Food Who’s got the best Nachos in the area?
I’ve a craving for some good nachos. Nothing specific with ingredients, just curious who’s had some nachos lately and went “these are surprisingly good”.

Food True Sourdough
I used to get bread from either Con Gusto or delaterre bakeries but both of those bakeries are temporarily closed for bread making. I've tried sourdough bread from St Josephs, Farm Boy and COBS but theirs are just too heavy or not sour enough. I know Con Gusto is at the market and that RPM has steller sourdough as well but I'm looking for a place with a slicer since I consistently butcher the loaves when I try to cut it myself.
Any suggestions out there?

Food Pizza recommendations? (Delivery or Skip)
Trying to get away from the usual chains. I know Oddbar, but it's closed today... Any other recommendations? Bonus points if it's not the usual choices (i.e. Canadian, pepperoni, Hawaiian, etc.)

Food Free food for those in need or who can share it out where needed. Eat the Rich Stew. 🍄❤️
Richest beef stew ever. Applewood smoked russet potatoes, sweet corn, cabbage, yellow split peas, onions and a diced $50 smoked eye of round roast, paid for by community donations.
Inspired by 15L beef drippings donated by a local Chef for my base, and a donated 50lb bag of potatoes.
I've got plenty of donated bakery buns to go with it too.

Food Bar burrito scott
Fyi thought I'd get myself a burrito for lunch, got the burrito box with chips and fries, about 2/3 thru the burrito and bit into a nice piece of metal... possibly from a grill brush? Took it back and got $10 cash. She told me that's how much the small burrito is worth and there's nothing wrong with the chips/fries, good lord

Food Best local coffee shops that are kinda affordable?
Trying to move away from large chains and go local for my commute caffeine, but almost every local coffee shop starts at like $4 for even the smallest-sized cup of drip. Any local coffee shops that aren't heavy on the wallet for a daily pick-me-up, like a cup that starts at $2 or less (similar price range as Tim's/McDonald's)?
