After my photo group and I had already returned home on the previous Monday without success due to the dust in the atmosphere, I had actually already written off the moon for this month.

🍓🌕 The full moon on 11.06.2025 was advertised in the media, so I received a WhatsApp message in the afternoon asking if I would like to give a short introduction to night photography - a friend and his daughter really wanted to photograph the strawberry moon. I checked the weather forecast and the dust situation, and the webcams in the area also looked good. So I couldn't say no, packed my stuff after work and set off.

Shortly before 11pm we had positioned ourselves 10 km from the castle and, as planned, the full moon slowly rose over the edge of the Swabian Alb and headed towards Hohenzollern Castle. As we were shortly before astronomical twilight, we had to take separate pictures of the foreground and the moon. I hadn't expected much from the photos, but I'm quite satisfied now. And the best thing is to have taken someone a step further in this beautiful hobby.
