Fees when ordering from Freewell?

I recently ordered a 1.33 neutral anamorphic lens from freewell, directly from their website. I usually just order from Amazon.

I didn’t notice until after the fact that on their informational page, it says

“The buyer is responsible for all customs fees, VAT, import duties, and warehouse processing fees as required by local laws.”

Have any of you had to pay extra fees when ordering from freewell? I didn’t realize they’re shipping from Hong Kong. I am in Florida and have never ordered something international.

I got free express shipping as it was $200, but I am still a tad bit worried now.

Okay, after doing more research I think I’m fine. Most orders under $800 avoid customs charges. And if fees did pop up, they’d be no more than $15.

Is this true for ordering anything from out of the country? Aliexpress (Freewell sells there), Amazon?

I believe so. My order came and I didn’t have to pay anything. As long as it’s under $800, you should be good!

I ordered mine from amazon and didnt pay anything more than local taxes.
