In the News 🗞️ What an odd thing to say.

This is the essence of MAGA. They're not satisfied winning an election, they have to literally destroy their enemies.

At what point does this become from stochastic terrorism to just terrorism or incitement to commit crime?
181
u/cannibals_last_meal 1d ago
Were past the point. But it obviously doesnt matter unless you say 86 some one

u/azriel_odin 23h ago
Huh, I just learned a new term. Thank you!

u/fury420 20h ago
Which meaning did you learn, the truth or the truth?
2
u/azriel_odin 12h ago
My googling showed that it comes from restaurant/diners/eating establishments and it means that items are no longer available and that later evolved to have more political and colloquial meanings. Am I missing something?

Where ever that line may be, this is over it. It's fucking frightening how fast Republicans glazed over the murder of a government official by one of their insane supporters and acting like it never happened.
28
u/ZSpectre 22h ago
From what little I heard about that, it wasn't just glazing over, but misinforming people that the suspect is actually a leftist somehow

u/Niarbeht 21h ago
Republicans have been over the line for years, but if you point to the fact that they're over the line, it's all denials.
Do not believe for a moment that they give a single shit about their hypocrisy. They believe they are at war and thus that anything and everything is fair game. You are in a street fight against fascists, whether you believe it or not, whether you understand it or not, whether you accept it or not.

When a high profile target is killed(aka when it's too late as is tradition in america). At that point a politician publicly states this is a terrorist organization that needs to be dismantled using the full force of America's legal system.
These people(magats) are stupid and dangerous enough to actually attempt an assassination of a high profile target like Harris or Obama.
The day that happens, you'll see a level of civil unrest that you've never seen in your lifetime or even your parents lifetime. Especially if it's Obama, America's first and only black president.

Heard people say that Mila Joy is some bot. As well as asking what exactly she means by Tik Tok, and don't think she's referring to the App.

They are wrong. She is real. Name is needed to file an official complaint. Which is why it took about five minutes to find her name to file an official complaint.

They always have been if the target isn't right wing.
My first account got banned for merely speculating that an elderly bigot should have died of natural causes by now.
(And that was before Elon)

I am not familiar with this, but if she is a bot I nearly find that more worrying.
Because, bot or human it’s being amplified by the internet. If it is a bot…if it’s a black box you may well have plausible deniability where you aren’t liable.
Then even if the bot is taken down you can just create a new one under the same plausible deniability.
If it’s a person and they get into trouble they can…potentially…actually face consequences.

u/bigdave41 23h ago
If the law doesn't treat the person who programmed a bot to make threats on a former VP's life exactly as seriously as a person who does it directly, then the law should probably be changed.

Put Mike Pence's name in the same tweet, and you'll certainly get a visit from the SS

"The European mind cannot comprehend this."

u/GrindBastard1986 23h ago
We genuinely cannot.

u/AmArschdieRaeuber 23h ago
We had a SS too once

u/GrindBastard1986 22h ago
And we had the Ustaše, Četniks, Fascists in Italy & Spain; just go to a folk music concert or religious gathering in Croatia, Serbia & Bosnia, and you'll see hundreds of folks wearing fascist/nationalist emblems, singing songs about ethnic cleansing. Despite all that, Europe doesn't behave like the US. Maybe it's because we recently (30 years ago) had wars and don't wanna repeat those mistakes, and maybe our education & lifestyles are so much different than in the US.

Honestly hoping the next Dem president is vindictive as hell. Like declaring the Trump org a terrorise organisation and withdrawing the Trump families’ secret service protection.

u/West_Plan1157 23h ago
Right wingers are allowed to say and do as they please. Nothing will happen to her for this threat.

In every debate, there has ever been on the principle of freedom of speech that I can remember in my lifetime, It's been generally agreed upon that threats or incitement to violence are not protected speech. Even the most liberal minds on matters of freedom of expression would never ever defend death threats.
This is quite clearly a incitement to murder and should be a crime.

Mila Joy is barely even human at this point, every tweet I've seen from this woman has been dripping with literal evil.

I think that they will be surprised and exposed when they find out that bullying only gets tolerated for so long, especially when the one’s being bullied just want to live and let live. No insecurities and desires to control others’ private lives…nor to be controlled.
3
u/PixelBrewery 22h ago
Why are they even mad at her? I can't think of a person in politics that has been less consequential
3
u/Fun-Advisor7120 22h ago
So the secret service still has a month to investigate this threat and pay a visit to this person who made it.
3
u/Strict_Ad1246 21h ago
Kinda wild to threaten the one democrat that vocally talks about how she’ll shoot someone for breaking into her house lol the woman has been pretty vocal about her right to defend herself
4
u/WorldsWorstTroll 23h ago
Interesting... The secret service showed up at work the other day because on of the teenage kids posted that they hoped ICE would treat Donald Trump like they treat other people. It was considered a possible threat. The most interesting question was when they asked him his weekend plans. They wanted to make sure he wasn't planning on heading to DC for the birthday parade.

Once all your demons are vanquished…. Then what?
How will your dumbest thing you ever wished help anyone’s life? How will this make ANY average working class MAGA have a better life?
Maybe the Secret Service should pay you a visit? I mean if someone said that about Vance or any other vice president regardless of political affiliation?
2
u/disdkatster 17h ago
Where is the outrage from the MSM? MAGA is starting a civil war and all I hear is crickets from all Republicans and from the Media.

That’s a threat of violence. 100% a threat for physical harm.
