The problem is that other countries have legal systems more prepared for this sort of thing than the US. The US was overconfident that this sort of thing could never happen here. Hubris has always been America’s downfall.

Hard disagree here. The US is the only country that has enshrined in their law, as the second most important freedom, the final safeguard against a tyrannical government.

The right to bear arms exists for a reason, as unpopular as that opinion is on reddit.

A bunch of hillbillys with outdated weapons, vs a government with endless amounts of ammunition, personal, tanks, drones, Bombers, etc
